You can absolutely compost blood! Technically if you used compostable period products you could also compost that amount of blood! Blood meal is a common fertilizer, but the blood from your Band-Aids would be nowhere near enough blood to make any difference. Any concerning blood pathogens would also be killed by the composting process, AND blood actually decreases compost time.

About the tooth tabs/dental advice thing... yeah I accidentally took dental advice from internet humans and didn't go to the dentist for awhile and ended up with 3 cavities because I wasn't using fluoride for 2 years. Oops.
@aslanisgone11243 жыл бұрын
Agreedddd!! Especially me, I have very weak enamel since I was a kid, I havent switched to tooth tabs because most dont have fluoride. There are some however im currently on prescription toothpaste so im holding out until my enamel gets a bit better.

I highly recommend Denttabs (or Unpaste if you are in the US). They have a fantastic fluoride option.
@Iquey3 жыл бұрын
*Roblox oof* yeah... Fluoride helps for a reason... I bought an advanced toothpaste too though called apagaurd which has nano hydroxyapatite, the crystal your teeth are made of, to help prevent cavities in addition to fluoride. Flossing regularly is also very important. I ran out of my apagaurd but bought some Carifree grape flavor which ALSO has fluoride AND nano hydroxyapatite, and I hope It also works just as well if not better. I got grape because I love grape flavor and it's a milder flavor than peppermint, which I actually don't like and would make me avoid brushing. I hope with the grape I'll just do it more often and continue to have healthy teeth.

Blood is actually really great for fertilizing (specifically mensural blood) because it’s high in nitrogen and iron so composting blood isn’t a big deal. I never really understood why composting meat isn’t a thing (maybe has to do with preventing pests or meat born illnesses or smth).
@savanah27753 жыл бұрын
composting meat actually is a thing(mostly fish)! It just takes a bit of a different process and it also requires some animal proofing as it will definitely attract pests (but that's all I know about it because I'm vegan)
@katzenlady53393 жыл бұрын
I think it depends on where you life. The company that is composting organic waste in my city said specifically that they also accept meat, dairy products, cooked food and rotten food in the system. Where I lived before they only accepted raw fruits and veggies, eggshells and coffee and tea grounds.
@briannaadhikari81553 жыл бұрын
The literal only reason for composting "rules" is that meat, cooked foods, and oils will attract rats. However, if you have a well-functioning pile with proper amount of carbon (dry leaves, paper, wood chips, etc.) it won't be much of a problem. Unless they're shitting in my house or eating my pantry I kinda don't care lmao. Rats deserve good food too, they can have my trash ;)

When people say mean things to or about you, it’s not about you. It’s almost always about them and their insecurities. Sometimes we want to take things a little personally, because it means that we’re important. But truth be told, people are mostly thinking about themselves. And they don’t care about us as much as we’d like to think they do. For me, this was the best realization. People don’t remember what you wore or said nearly as much as you think about it. Your such a sweet little bee. You make me smile and not in a ha ha kinda way but a genuine, humbling kinda way. 🥰👏 content wise it would be neat to see you do different experimentle challenges. Maybe you wear the same things or eat minimally or take up like drawing or writing everyday for 30 days. I would appreciate your perspectiveon something like that! And washington will miss you!!! Shout out from spokane!!!

I agree about the floss situation! I am a daily flosser and hate wasting plastic because of floss but still haven't found a zero waste option that doesn't break?! Any advice would be very much appreciated. Ps. I don't have overcrowding so it's not you...its the floss. haha. Thanks so much for your videos - I've been trying to be as zero waste as possible during this lockdown and you're very much helping the journey!

The background music is so calming 😌🌱 Also, I floss for a week after I see my dentist and then stop for the rest of the year 🤭

Hahaha YES! I am the exact same way 🙈 I always leave being like “this is it, I’m going to have the best flossing habit ever” and then ooof here we are, time for another appointment and it’s been 5 months since I’ve picked up my floss 😹

I use the exact same shampoo conditioner combo and nothing else has worked for me. I tried another set I was gifted and they are awful and my hair just doesnt get clean with them. Using the conditioner bar for shaving and the shampoo bar as body soap to use them up haha

I struggle with the floss as well and it´s not just specific brands. Most of them are only developed for people with perfectly aligned teeth otherwise they break and so far I´ve found NO sustainable brands at all, that offer anything that will remotely stay together. I use the picks and the attached floss; it´s easier when it´s stretched out over something and it´s plastic even though I hate that. But it´s coated in a way that makes them possible to use, even with teeth that has´nt been completely overhauled by a dentist.

the Patch bandaids absolutely suck and I agree about composting. questionable... I used mine up by using tape to hold them against me because I refuse to waste an expensive pack of bandaids.
