Fish market is the best in Edinburgh. It's very good but the wait and small fish is a fair 9/10.

Like everywhere, portion sizes are getting smaller and prices are rising. When I went to Anstruther I tried The Wee Chippy and it was very similar. Great vid, Michael and a lovely day for it!

Must agree the chips from here are the best around. The fish tho is comparable to many I have tried from any good chip shop

We have visited Anstruther Fish Bar and had fish and chips here on many occasions over the years. We last visited in May this year and that will be our final time. The portion sizes have really shrunk and the quality significantly reduced in my opinion. There are better places in Anstruther and I think sadly that the owners of the fish bar have milked their once excellent reputation too far. Overpriced! Great video buddy though as always 👍🏼

I have enjoyed fish and chips there in the past but I will be honest I haven’t been there for a couple of years. I genuinely feel The Real Food Cafe in Tyndrum is the undisputed best fish and chips in Scotland. Followed by the Allan Water Cafe in Bridge of Allan.

Totally agree,took ma wee dad down there before he passed away and always think of his wee face munching on his fish and chips sitting on the table and chairs outside ,absolutely better than the famous Anstruther fish and chip shop,didn't get the chance to take him to the Alhambra in Bellshill which the wife and I enjoy, certainly wouldn't pay £3,40 for a can of juice, I'd have told them to stick it right up their arse and walked out 😂😂

@@dpelpal Cullen Skink is delicious and Baxter’s used to sell it in cans, it’s haddock cream and vegetable soup.Cullen is a 3 hour journey from Anstruther. I think you mean Arbroath smokies? Now they are delicious too but again a good two hours drive for Michael from Edinburgh.

In most fish and chip bars throughout Scotland you get 2 fish and a mound of chips for around 6 or 7 quid. I have been to Anstruther on several occasions but have NEVER paid these stupid prices. I have watched various youtubers go there but for me....i'll pass

Been going for years M wednesdays one supper between us never eat all the nice chips [dont feed the seagulls] carry cans irn bru in the car 8 pack supermarket £2 prefer it to the wee chippy or waterfront one ,ps Tenerife cans most 3.50 euros each and Imries Leven bus station car park just as good and cheaper 😎😎
