The Christmas market is so expensive and it really doesn’t feel good when you walk through it when it’s so busy and you feel like you’re getting robbed if you buy anything. Not for me but it’s really for the tourist now I feel. Everything overpriced. Tourist trap. ✌️.

Thanks for the update Michael ! , renting out a market stall is expensive and obviously the wholesale cost of everything has gone up a lot in recent years & that has to be passed on to the customer , we all know EVERY market is pricey , despite this , the public are still willing to treat themselves !. The kids section was moved to the West gardens because it got so busy (health & safety issue) with everything in 1 place , it ruined the experience for many plus it became a mud bath with the water draining down the slope , it took months to repair the ground & cost a fortune. Enjoy your honeymoon !.

Everyone complains about prices same with festivals etc but don't realise to cost to attend these events it's a business after all and have to make a profit after covering their expenses. The wheel and starflyer come from europe so have to factor in shipping costs etc.

Star flyer comes from eourope I didn't no that to be fair 10 pounds on the wheel isn't bad. I just wonder how much it will be this year
@Scotty908214 күн бұрын
@@edinburghandbeyond i belive the wheel is £1 more than last year at £11 and the starflyer is still £12 same as last year. The starflyer is from holland.

Great Vlog Michael. I have attended the Remembrance Service at the Cenotaph in Glasgow for many years. Very moving and humbling experience. Been to the Edinburgh Christmas Market a couple of times. Expensive is an understatement. It’s always expensive where there’s tourists

Have they actually got planning permission for the market they hadn't applied for it as of about ten days ago and it was never applied for last year , no permission must mean no insurance, I avoid the place no money made actually stays in Edinburgh. The area down below shouldn't because every year the dead grass had to be lifted and relayed and the company running the fiasco didn't put there hand in there pocket to pay for the repairs out of the massive profits the whole place is an accident waiting to happen heaven forbid

The market is a complete rip off. Over priced tat, over crowded and over rated. Avoid if you have a family as it will leave you broke.

One of the problems is Micheal woke culture will try to rewrite history and it eventually won’t be PC to remember all those that made the ultimate sacrifice for us

💯 Michael agree with alot that you have said ie the cars. Personally I think the market shouldn't be built until after remembrance Sunday thats just imo. I'm pretty sure the bottom of the gardens was kids rides could be wrong tho. The kids these days are another problem

Well you know my feelings on the Edinburgh council’s trams…..but I’m glad you are seeing how pathetic Edinburgh city council’s traffic management department are, you’ll soon start hating the trams too compared to what we could have had 🙂disclaimer: I used to be a black cab driver and know 1st hand how bad getting anywhere around Edinburgh is. The gardens of remembrance should take pride of place, but council greedy pocket fillers love all these overpriced rip of tents.

You must be very proud of the success of the Edinburgh Trams. It's been a roaring success since they opened the extension to Newhaven. Millions upon millions of people have used the trams marking a nearly 100 % satisfaction rate. So well done to Edinburgh.
