It's funny, because the mods became popular when the game still didn't had a strong identity like now, or at least it wasn't as clear. Now it has a really strong identity, which separated itself from the mods even further, which just makes its own stuff by this point.

Some advice for installing future updates, you can put all the new files directly into the folder where you store the previous version and overwrite everything and it will carry over all your save data into the new version, that way you won't have to replay Weekend 1 again and again just to unlock it in the freeplay. Thanks for the streams today by the way, it was nice doing some catch up.

You don't need to do that. The save data is not in the game's folders. It saves to a unique folder named FunkinCrew in the user's hidden AppData folders like with most games. So you can freely delete or have multiple instances of the game simultaneously and they share the save data. You can access the AppData folders by searching for and launching the Run command through the taskbar search option and then searching %appdata% in the Run command window. It'll open the AppData folder likely split into Local, LocalLow, and Roaming depending on if you have programs that function under any of those categories or not. Accessing this can be useful for save file editing in the game of choice if every a reason pops up. FunkinCrew is under the Roaming category.

there are 52 weeks final, base game will release first, no idea if it contains the erect, than the rest of the catalogue will be released as song packs in the future, it would be insane to think about if they can dump all of the content in one go, but of course that's a no. holy it's larger than the entire catalogue of taiko

There's 10 new characters actually as stated by the Kickstarter, but it did say there would be a custom player maker, and I think the only erect remix is for bf only, and for the 30 additional week to 10 players ratio, I think some of the playable characters might not have all the weeks to sing.

For fnf mods I'd recommend vs Ace! It's a pretty neat mod also basically a side story from retrospecter just easier. It's honestly my second favorite! It has cool songs and it even has a difficulty just named "swapped" basically you play the other characters notes makes the song sounds funky compared to the original but it's pretty neat! And there's so many song in freeplay I honestly cant stop playing em myself lol

Hey phil if you want a recent mod recommendation, i would recomend the recent FNF Weekly that recently ended, the premise is that every week of summer the devs would update the mod and add in a new week(or tweak as they call it in the mod) based around a random theme(like horror games or antagonists from games) and recently they ended the mod after reaching the end of summer and my GOD! After tweak 0 and 1 you will be surprised by the quality the dev team could put into one tweak in less than one week or two.(also small warning it's a pretty lengthy mod with over 2 hours of content including the gallery that shows some fun facts about each tweak and 5 extra songs on freeplay so you would have to dedicate a whole stream just for this mod).
