My parents had a hand crank ice cream maker. We would take it camping and make ice cream. And since we did not have a freezer when camping, we were required to eat it all right away.

Did you add salt to the ice? That's what makes the ice cream freeze.

Technically it lowers the freezing point, which would help the ice cream freeze.

Wicked build, love all your work! Quick tip: avoid wood cracking from screws by drilling a pilot hole first. Side note: I have the same B&D drill :)

In case you're not aware, Ace Hardware has THE BIGGEST selection of random screws in all sorts of grades, materials, and lengths. Entire aisles dedicated to this stuff and I have yet to be disappointed. I have no idea how they justify having such a selection as it takes up so much freaking space. Also, your rotary tool/Dremel makes quick work shortening machine screws.
