This was all in the Big5. This CPM came from the fact that people were engaging a lot with my ads, which tells the FB algorithm that my ads give their users a positive experience, and thus gives me cheaper impressions.

Hey man, i have 2k to my name. Is this enough? How would you split the budget up?

Yes it is possible to start with 2k. Ideally you'd want something around 4-8k but even with 2k it is still possible, you just have to be very efficient with your testing and educate yourself as much as possible so you don't have to spend as much money in learning with trial and error.
