8:03 That "two random exhaust port" is the fuel cap commonly found on all racecars. It uses a vacuum process to quickly fill up the fuel. The high pressure fuel is injected through one side while air is sucked out through the other side.

@@schizzzzz8912I swear I’ve been in the car/track scene for 20 years now and always thought that hose was for more cold air to be pushed into the intake and the hot air out the glass pocket. Cause that’s what made sense in my head. The more cold air you can get into the block the more power you have especially good because the P40 was naturally aspirated. Completely forgot about the no AC 🤣🤣 I just thought yeah no seats rollcage detachable wheel harness racing drivers seat the basics for shaving weight for a track car. Saw this thing racing on an old video at Le Mans 2002 spitting flames I was like that is not anti lag there’s no turbo in there 😂😂

Don't forget to check that rear subframe Danny. The e46 is known for it tearing out. They do sell reinforcements for it though to fix that problem

true story: From 2015 till 2018 I was part of the axel development team in Garching near Munich, Bavaria at BMW ///M. One of my engineer colleagues was that guy who was the responsible head engineer of the E46 M3 GTR project. Asking him about some background stories he told me that only 2 dirveable proto types were build and both got disassembled when it was clear that the M3 GTR project was stopped. He also showed me the whole paper work documentary of this project. Was an honor to meet this guy.

My favorite memory this year for this channel was when you shared something personal with us, which was when you let us know about your family member was getting a brain surgery I believe. It made me realize how great of a community you have here, that you trust us with that information and allow yourself to be vulnerable. It meant a lot considering that I have a family member that has also had brain surgeries. My personal favorite memory this year has been buying my first house and owning my dream car (Nissan 370Z) at 24 years old!

funny enough buying and driving my 2005 325i e46 in april 2022 was my best memory, it was my first car and I loved it. $3000 in repairs later the car isnt fully fixed yet, its daily drivable and thats what i was driving daily till 6 months later, I ended up rear-ending somebody who brake-checked me in the middle of a green intersection and that was the end of my e46.

Man said the fuel filler is a random exhaust port 😭😭😭 the m3 gtr is a homologation special. It’s basically the road going version of the gtr that actually raced, hence the pg40 v8 that only came in the gtr. Basically the blue print for the v8 m3 that followed. Hopefully you do this car justice.

Just wanna point out that the holes in the back of the gtr was air vents for your rear fenders being so low an minimal space for rear wheel. Also helps with cooling of the breaks

My favorite memory of this year was fully rebuilding my 07 550i bmw. 4.8L N62 V8 i fully rebuilt the engine and transmission to bare block/bare-case and replaced just about every single part, every gasket, all bearings (con-rod, crankshaft bearings etc) it was a super fun build and very insightful on how BMW builds their engines.

It was overheating the next morning but looked great after cleaning it lol then I bought a e53 for $1800, it had so many vacuum leaks and needed cats but it looked great too after cleaning it. Fixed it and now my dad has it.

My only issue with the bodykit is that it's not the original GTR bodykit. The front fenders need to be flatter and they don't have those vents. This I believe is a later generation of the GTR bodykit. It's definitely better than the people who make GTR replicas using the Strassenversion GTR kit.
