Maybe instead of trying to get fish to bite on the camera itself, why not just trail a swimbait like half a foot behind it? Perhaps run a liter from the first hook and foil it to the back where you had the second treble hook? Great concept though! Loving it!

fun fact, rice doesnt actually pull out moisture, it will just air dry on a bed of rice, electronics can get wet but will shut down when in contact. once completely dry it will start, silica packets from shoe boxes and beef jerky packets are what you want to save for electronics. I have a shoebox of them and it takes a couple hours for it to dry anything out

If you decide to do this again I’d suggest just making the 360 camera a section on a swimbait. Obviously the case would have to be redesigned but I think it could be done

This is awesome. If you ever do it again, try to find a way to have the lens facing the hook, cause the camera stitches the two shots together right where the fish bit which is why you get that seam. But that would be tough to figure out.

Just a tip on the race track, it helps to fully submerged the item in rice, and close it off in a bag so the rice doesnt absorb environmental moisture/humidity. Also, try not to press buttons while its water logged. If youre really lucky, the item is completely off when it gets wet, and if thats the case just dont turn it on, dont press buttons, seal it in a bag completely submerged in white rice for days. Just some tips from a phone tech, the only times ive seen the rice trick fail, is when someone continues using it while water logged, especially when pressing buttons before the item is off and dried by the rice.
