Just don't be me and destroy two monsters to target their one. You have to target an equal number of monsters you destroy, otherwise it doesn't trigger. Reading is HARD!

As per usual, wholesome job. How would you approach the game playing as 2nd, when enemy has a couple of disruptions? Can you follow up after getting initial combo interrupted by hand traps?

Going second either means getting Chaos Archfiend out as quickly as possible, or breaking the board some other way. The deck can play through a couple of handtraps but of course it depends on your starting hand. Droll is painful, as is Imperm. The most I've played through has been three disruptions but my board wasn't looking great at that point

Not sure if Astraloud is already there, but this deck is almost fully playable in Master Duel (Berserk Archfiend probably wont be there for a while) so I reckon it'll just need a few tweaks. I'd love to play ranked with this sort of variant

Underground is a great word to describe it! Most people know that Archfiends exist, but because hardly anyone plays them, they don't get much attention. @@TheArchfiendGuy An orderly and coherent way of doing things might be to schedule a series of publications for a profile. -commentary, combos and alternatives -test hand -matches against the same tier and meta; these things are then managed in various ways as you prefer in one or more videos. In case of any updates to the list, or other considerations to be added, they can then be presented in shorter formats. At the end of the "season" (allow me the metaphor) you can load a summary while waiting for the next expansion and/or banlist; occasions that will be the starting point for the evolution of the deck and its variants.

I have a couple of questions: - about the ratios: is 5 copies of pandemonium not too much? from what I've seen visas samsara is the best starter so maybe more copies of that would be better? - what are your small world bridges/combos? I would really like to hear some examples^^ - there has to be a lv8 fiend fusion with the right stats that has a graveyard effect. I really like high spirits but I wanna find a better option than quaeritis^^

5 copies gives me roughly 50% chance to open it. 4 copies is roughly 42%, so whichever you prefer really. Depending on what you want to search with Small World, I tend to bridge into Visas Samsara through Aruha or General (similar for Ecclesia). I don't have dedicated bridge slots, but if I did then I'd either use Zalamander Catalyzer or some chess Archfiends. I have Samsara at one because it's normal summon reliant. So I just use Small World to grab it if I need it. The level 8 fiend fusions with the necessary stat line are few and far between unfortunately. But if you use Granguinol then you can banish it to summon a Quaeritis (but that's real clunky in a build like this).

@frankunodostres473 Pandemonium is much better with Berserk Archfiend. Before that it's not very good. Having it on the field just let's you search a lot. Notably Bone and Heiress (don't forget that Bone can raise levels, increasing Pandemonium's effectiveness). I considered adding Hot Red Dragon Archfiend at one point as a field nuke extender, but Scarlight helps end games. And yes! There's so many ways to build Archfiends. I love all the Labrynth stuff. Just a shame we can't have two field spells because Labrynth Labyrinth is OP. Glad you like the Earthbound tech! You can get a search off it if you build towards them. You can also run the new level 8 earthbound synchro, which just so happens to be a great Empress target. That and Gust Kraken because it searches field spells. Both archetypes can work well together

I'm surprised you haven't found out one of archfiends best combo is tour guide and ready fusion... It allows you to abuse masterking archfiend

I used to use that in older "Masterking Control" builds and I agree it's pretty cool. Soul Hunter is a good target for both Empress revives and rank 6 plays. I went off of Tour Guide though because it just gets Ash'd too much. I would like to bring Masterking back into the mix at some point, once I figure out a consistent way to do it that doesn't interfere with anything else

@@TheArchfiendGuy Lol as is not a problem if you run unchained.. i run the 2 level 6 and the traps spell to bait out ash first. Then tour guide into master king to dump vision resonator which gets the gaia spell, then instant allow you to dump heiress and search commander, Synchro into Scarr-red which commander pops now you have 2 level 8 archfiend synchros on field because of scarr effect and the spell... while giving you opportunities to get back any fiends that touches the grave through master king.

Yeah run Soul Resonator, it's still really useful and can search out Dark Spirits. You can easily summon Hot Red Dragon Archfiend Abyss using it

Yes but then you'd need to remove High Spirits, because that needs the Quaeritis' for the search to work Soul of Rage into Unicorn or S;P is definitely super strong, just a tight ED

I love the destroy mechanic and the archfiend archetype, but don't see myself playing this honestly. Would prefer more of a pure build without the albaz/scareclaw stuff. That said, I understand why they're in there and would like to see this slay some meta decks in master duel!

Until we get an Archfiend tuner we're stuck with other stuff to summon Chaos Archfiend. But if you want you can just run Deal with Dark Ruler for Berserk Dragon and it achieves almost the same thing! I just really like running Chaos Archfiend because it's a cool boss monster

@@TheArchfiendGuy I run a resonator in my pure build. Unfortunately it ended up being a control strategy adopting the Labrynth playstyle. I wish we had proper combo enablers for the archfiend archetype. Berserk is a big step in the right direction, but we need more :p
