Brazil is actually really fun to play as since the Colossus of the South, they have so much potential. Owning all of South America is quite easy since especially early game most of the GPs don't have interests there. The whole continent has literally every resource you need, loads of gold, rubber and oil.

The easy answer would be to not pass laws that would radicalise them and reform your legislation gradually or you can always fight them and they will lose all their influence (but make sure you don't have a landowner as your ruler while on autocracy because they will gain their influence back very quickly)
