Dinotopia is literally my favorite book, all of them are so good and the paintings are insane, I remember being a kid and being mind boggled over the painting in the second book where they enter through the door for the first time. So cool that others remember that book as well

This video is one of those things that just came in the precise moment I need it. Being in a place in life where death and loss are present and being an artistic fellow struggling to handle life in general, your words really struck me and made me not feel so lonely and angry. I notice that you use a lot of complementary colors on your canvases and on your murals. Is that deliberate, or just the way things work out? As one of my art teachers commented, "It's all about the metaphor." 😸 Also, "It's about the *process* !" "Experience is the only teacher, there is no other way." Seth (from the Jane Roberts books) I believe hummingbirds are considered to be good luck in the Mayan world.

This picture could easily be the Fenriswolf from Valhalla and then with the viking pattern that you have placed next to it, but I like your project. Valhalla "the hall of the fallen" is in Norse mythology Odin's abode in Asgard. It is home to the einhers, the Vikings who die honorably in battle ("val" means "battlefield"), Odin is from Norse mythology In pictures he is seen riding the eight-legged horse Slejpner with the spear Gungner in one hand and followed by the ravens Hugin and Munin and the wolves Gere and Freke. But Odin was a shapeshifter by nature; appeared in countless guises and often in disguise, as in the quatrain about Greybeard from the Elder Edda. In the myths he is described as obsessed with acquiring more knowledge and learning, and he often traveled far and wide; either flying like a bird or riding the horse Sleipner. Asetro is a religion, the pre-Christian religion in the Nordics. The women up in the corner must be Ran and Freja, Ran, goddess of the deep sea, married to the sea god Ægir. Her daughters are the waves of the sea and are each named after the nature and characteristics of the waves. As her name suggests (rán means robbery), she is associated with death. She catches drowned sailors in her net and leads them to her kingdom at the bottom of the sea. Freya was the goddess of love and war Freja's twin sister is Freja. Hey Kiptoe, I am an Art Teacher at a middle school and this is my first year teaching. When I student start and after the first couple lessons I notice students struggling to come up with ideas and using the internet to help them and they would go through what you mentioned. So I made a lesson plan inspired by this video! I have a ton of time magazines and I am having them do what you are doing.

The evolving story is great to imagine.......where does the "walk about" take the cowboy, what does he learn, doeshe (having traveled long enough) meet himself.......the ideas are endless. Spark of imagination is a dangerous thing......sometimes anyway. This series of paintings has an open ended quality about them. I think that when viewed all together the viewer will be able to write their own story. The "dangerous spark of imagination" can now takehold and begin thenext evolution......truly inspired progretion of ideas. Thank you for what you do. So keep rocken it!

I love how you film your videos. I know that setting up cameras and getting good shots can take a while, but your videos are always so beautifully put together! How do you get your moving shots? (Loved the camera shot with "crossed eyed details")😂

thanks so much! I use a motorized slider to get those moving shots. You set up the beginning and end points with a clicker and then press go and it moves on a track :)
