reason why everything is running so slow is because it wasnt installed, it was running off of the RAM of the computer, clicking the install steam os would install it onto your surface, but unless your surface is running an AMG GPU it isnt going to run well, I have it running on my Razer blade and it was so bad i went back to windows because i was using nvidia

Ahh gotcha, it has an intel CPU/iGPU so it may have worked but in my triple boot video I tried to install it but it just wouldn't lol

@@ID10T_ERROR_ might be an older image, HoloISO/SteamOS has very particular hardware requirements, mostly because of Valve's implementation of GameScope, even then i dont recommend using HoloISO unless you have a computer that can handle its quirks, or have linux knowledge to adjust the configs to bring it to a usable state, still interesting content none the less :)

You have to click on the second icon on the desktop that says.. "Install Steam OS on this device" to install to your laptop

@@ID10T_ERROR_ No it's not, they might look the same but they are 2 different logos. before they made the windows logo flat they were a different shape but now with windows 11 they ruined it and now people think they are the same. One is still the windows logo and the other is the Microsoft one. Also the color 😜
