What a shock from ashwin? He has Good potential still can play good cricket for 2 to 3 years. Sudden retirement in Australian soil it shows something happened in indian dressing room against Ashwin. It looks like he was forced to announce his retirement. What so ever it may be, its a big blender made by Ashwin. He should not have announced retirement. He must have played atleast 2 years minimum, he could have achieved so many records in test level 600+ wickets, most 10+ wickets in innings etc. Atleast he could have break kumble record. What a politics. The players like gill and R.sharma (who were from north region ) were not playing well will have place in team and will get more chances. Tamilnadu players want to announce their retirement even if they are in good rhythm. BCCI Wants sachin and kumble to be in top list on record table. Like most run getter and most wicket taker. So Ashwin has to sacrifice his career for kumble's name and fame. Good cricket. Mark my words, INDIAN TEAM will became like current West Indies team in future. Bad time begins for indian cricket because of their 3rd rate politics. All the best for team india. People have to neglect IPL, BCCI need only money not good players. Even though they got good one they will give chance only who they wish.

Ashwin should have had played at least another 30 Test matches. But, he was clearly sidelined during the tenure of Kohli as a captain and Ravi Shastri as a coach. If only he was not sidelined during the Kohli-Sastri tenure, Ashwin would have certainly taken at least another 90 to 100 wickets. The fact that Ashwin has chosen to declare his retirement during the middle of a series in Australia conveys that he was upset by some humiliation he faced in the dressing room.

The reason is the ugly hindi dominant selection committee perverted thinking towards south indian brahmin going scot free without getting due blasting from all over India. The dropping logic should equally apply to batsmen also however big name he is. Why that is not happening. We don't want to see their stylish walking on the field. Whoever he is, he has to consistently perform and stay in the team. Just because he is close to some big names ,should not get selected repeatedly.
