The tier 3 crusifix is actually broken if you have a summoning circle you can take a ghost photo and possibly an objective of "capture a picture of the ghost" and also force "prevent a ghost from hunting using crusifix" objectives it's going to make completing objectives so much easier

The tier 3 smudge stick is called a censer, it's used to burn incense, you place incense inside it on a piece of burning coal and then shake it to give off smoke, orthodox priests use them during sermons for example. And those also have bells that chime with every shake.

What I love most about this update is most of the higher Tier items are such a quality of life improvement. So as you play the game and work your way up the game becomes less tedious, more fun. You'll have learned how to play the game better too by the time you unlock T3. So it'll give you more confidence to play at a higher difficulty than you were.

One of my wishes for a sequel game playing the exorcism team is coming in and having to figure out how much worse the investigators made things by messing around and poking the ghost in ways that made the haunt worse. Like come into a contract and grab the investigator report and think "Let's see what these jerks did this time."

I think it’d be cool to have all 3 teams. So you could have up to 12 people playing the same game. Imagine having 4 people survey and draw a map of an unknown location. While cleaning up and getting locale info. The normal phasmophobia team. And a midnight ghost hunt-esque hunting team.

I'd imagine they work together. You need the investigators to find out what kind of ghost it is, and any possible connections, then the exorcist uses that info to actually banish. Like your not gonna do well if you go on trying to banish a demon and it turns out to be a revenant you know? They got to have different ways to get rid of them otherwise why differentiate between them?

one thing that could be done with lvl 3 smudge; stop the ghost during hunt and ghost photo because it's standing still... but be careful! lol Also, since T3 tripod is hardly a big upgrade from T2, why not make it an RC car on which you can place the camera. Simply add up and down arrows on the screen to make it move forward and backwards. Side arrows turn the camera view, but that helps you drive around corners. It would give an extra little gizmo for truck dwellers, but also allow you to explore without losing sanity. Good for huge maps.

If you click on the Sound Sensor after you deploy it it cycles through 3 different pickup shapes. Default is round, second is square and third is 2 opposing cones. Combine that with the three sizes and it is a lot more versatile than it used to be. :)

I think with Tier 3 items being so strong, there should be down sides so that T2 items wont become completely obsolete. Like how the Glowstick can work better than the T2 UV or how T3 Salt can repel ghost (which can have it's downsides e.g. the ghost room svcks you want it to change rooms but T3 Salt stops that) while the T2 Salt can't.

Um.. the purpose of tier 3, is to leave tier 2 behind, rendering them obsolete to you. Tier 3 should instead be made more expensive, than tier 2 counterparts. So you want tier 3, but can afford tier 1 or 2 after dying.

i’m confused why they didn’t do more to change the higher tier photo cams. Just taking pictures faster doesn’t seems like enough for me. Like what if they made the range for 3 star photos larger with the higher tier photo cams? Or possibly a built in UV light on the t3 for easier UV photos? Or maybe if you take a photo of it during a hunt with the t3, the flash makes it stop flickering, and temporarily completely visible for easier hunt photos? So many missed opportunities with the photo cam, it feels underwhelming to upgrade it.

Seeing headgear tier 2 and 3 really explains why they attract the ghost, but sadly it's absolutely gutting the quality of the tier 1 for Multiplayer. I only play with friends and the headcam was just nice to watch them from the truck and see what's going on, but now you can't really do that when you're in hunting range, because it takes too long to turn it off, you have to track whether it's on or not without an indicator, and it doesn't actually provide any benefit to have it on, except for the player in the truck to be able to enjoy the game more. It was always a Multiplayer Quality of Life item, but with the new system they just threw that aspect to the roadside, which i find a bit sad.

I disagree with items being too cheap, here is why: Everybody seems to forget that not everyone is Insym. There are new players, scared players and also players who simply don't have the time to grind out money for a game about "identifying ghosts". What I mean by that is that people die more often than you think, loose all their stuff and have to rebuy. Often. So what exactly is the goal here? Making a fun game for everyone? Or making a fun game for 10 percent that has a lot of experience? Something to think about in my opinion.

They should a new mechanic where you have only 3 light bulbs. That way you can replace the light bulbs that shatter. And they can add like, the stronger it is, the more of a chance it bursts itself, so you also have to flick the lights on and off. The weak one is just a normal bulb. And the second one is bright, but can burst when you leave the room or light on for a certain amount of time.

When they fix the Crucifix bug, you'll only need 6 piles of salt on the Summoning Circle to get perfect game there saving you 1 salt container. 6 Salt Pile Photos + Crucifix Interaction Photo + Burned Crucifix Photo + Ghost Photo + Summoning Circle Photo = 10 photos

I just wanna add that I think the ghost speeding up while stunned makes perfect sense to me. From a player perspective the smudge is there so you can get away (and break line of sight) from a ghost -- if you don't break line of sight, you should bear the consequences. But also imagine it from the ghost's perspective: you're going after some nerd, all of a sudden can't move but can still see the mf'er who you're trying to hunt down. You would go supersonic when the stun wore down as well.

The night vision is cool and all, but I liked reliving outlast by using a video camera in VR Mode. You could turn it on nightvision mode and hold it up to your head to see (somewhat) clearly. Though during hunts it would be obscured by static which gave me quite the jump the first time it happened to me and I saw a glimpse of the ghost right before I died through the static. since my headset broke this video is the first ive seen of the game in a year. Looks neat. Still will probably forgo flashlights for camera NV again.

The money curve is fine tbh. If someone dies they'll lose like $2-3k. With how easy it is to screw around or make a simple mistake it'll happen fairly often. The majority of people playing this aren't playing this for as many hours as you do and aren't experts that can tell the ghost type from the sound of how it threw a cup from a room over. Without doing the 13x exploit, we're gonna be stuck in the early levels without a hope in the world to see most tier 3 items for a long time. Let alone have the excess money that a player like *you* has lmao.
