If your darts are thick cut them down the center and press them open.

I know it’s a little late but I would have made the side seam on the slit side and just done away with the slit

It’s puckering because you should do a top stitch down any seem you do you supposed to do a topstitch in the sewing line.. Think it’s called stitch in the ditch and you won’t get that puckering whenever you want some thing to lay flat you should do a top stitch and it will look way better and of course iron seams after each line sew in the ditch

Too short you bend forward your flashing people.. not for me it be longer .. way to short look in ur video one point u could see you almost flashed ur behind .. not a fan of those little buttons they aren’t strong for adult pieces their mainly for baby clothes...
