In case you want to know, you unlocked the Athena area at the end there because you picked up her token, which you were given for opening so many purple rooms, you can also get another token for doing the red rooms with damage.

not 100% sure if this is how it works, but I think getting the basketball jersey and the towel (only taking a maximum of half a heart/shield of damage) and the devils trade (double damage or no damage) actually makes it so you either take half a heart or no damage.
