Once upon a time I had a mini breakdown, went to the Home Depot, bought a can of "oops" paint in this Mint green shade, came home and slapped it on my livingroom wall. It did not match anything I owned and clashed completely with my rug. After I calmed down, I embraced the green, Tossed the rug, bought a floral print couch and I am just living my best life now. 🤣

I seriously didn’t know there was different coloured painters tape until I started watching diy videos on KZbin 😄 the regular one in Sweden is still white or off white, other ones costs a little bit more. Great stuff btw, love your channel for your unique take on trends etc Much love!

Same in the Netherlands. We have frogtape nowadays (which is amazing btw) but generally, offwhite is THE color for painters tape

Pintrest made me paint my stairs jet black. I ripped up the horrid old carpet, scraped and sanded, but in an old house, they're still not in the best condition. Still, I love the black so much I've done my floorboards and skirting in the converted attic, and I'm planning on more!

I did an accent wall in my kitchen that was call 'framboise' and it is this gorgeous bright rosey purple. It's my favorite wall in the entire house and now I want to repaint pretty much every room in the house. Not that color but definitely more colors to get me out of beige hell. XD

BexDoesStuff So happy there are like-minded people. I’m sick of pale earth tones. How many colors of sand are there ?!?! My personal style is a cross between Pirates of the Caribbean (the ride) and Diagon Alley. I like strong jewel colors, corrosion, worn surfaces, and dirt. Definitely layered and eclectic. Minimalism does not work with kids and big, furry dogs that shed worse than me. I finally figured out that my tastes were strongly influenced by a restaurant and the basement of a mall I used to visit as a child. The restaurant had cliff divers and a treasure room. The mall had turned a negative into a positive by renting the weird space cheap to artisans and boutiques. Definitely not cookie cutter.

In Spain all the painter's tape is an off white, I always liked the blue and green ones when you use them

Painters tape is made in garish colors so that you dont miss a piece when removing. Also we use it when checking up on our contractors to highlight issues that need their attention on large projects. They can walk through a home and know at a glance whats new on their punch list.

I typically prefer stained stairs and trim as we have in our home. I have to admit though, when they are already painted, adding color, and such a beautiful one at that, really made a huge difference in these two spaces. Love your humor too. You always make me smile. 😁

The blue trim makes the inside feel like it is outside. Very cottage core. I painted the trim in my bedroom a deep green called silken pine. Lived with it for years before deciding to go all in and paint the walls the same as the trim. It elevated the quaint vibe

I have the hardest time picking greens! They are always either to minty or to brown or to yellow. I love seeing them on finished spaces. I just have the worst eye for them on chips.

Maggie Robertson: The house I grew up in was a different shade of green in every room. Sometimes as the main color and sometimes as an accent, so I know when I see a green or any hue with any sort of green undertone I know exactly how to use it. I hope you have better luck next time.

I love both projects. Turquoise is my favorite color. Don't be surprised when I tell you that I painted our master bedroom and bathroom. Color is "Shimmering Summer". Also, I painted the guest bathroom a bright pink called "Rich Cherry Cola" I found a pretty shower curtain for $8.00 at Big Lots several years ago. The curtain is a bright flowery, rosey pink with a tad bit of peach and pinky orange. My husband tells each guest to put on sunglasses before going in!

My mother is currently working on repainting her house back to the colors she used when she first built it in 1979. That blue would fit in so well and she has the right window frames for that project. I'm going to make that suggestion. (Blue is her favorite color and always has been.)
