Played the game years ago but wasn't too into it. After stumbling into your channel a couple of weeks ago, I got interested and I started playing again. From Ironclad A0, I climbed and grinded, and I just beat A20 a few minutes ago, and I am certain it's thanks to your very helpful videos. I haven't played with the other characters yet. I'll take a bit of a break for now.

Yeah the videos got me to a20 as well. I had 60 something hours in when I got my a20 clad as well as a11 silent a2-3 effect and a14 watcher. 60 hours all because I watch this guy play. I’m currently win streaking as a 70 something hour player on silent. I’m up to a14 from a11. 3 wins in a row and they’ve all been heart kills. The videos really show you the power of these characters. This years videos has been extremely helpful compared to years past.

@@HardxCorpsxKali Wow! And the best I can do on Clad is three streaks, and not even heart wins yet because I haven't played any of the other characters yet. Still having cold feet about it.

@@jeremygonzal8603 I find it easier to play the characters he’s showing in these videos. If you’re watching all of the silent videos you’ll see the cards and play styles that are getting these wins and you can pick like he does. I completely believe that he’s carrying me through these games. 😂

I have been watching Baalor for a couple months now, but I have just seen 3 runs, 1 from a year ago, 1 from two years ago, and this one, and in ALL 3 I have been served with the Shuriken joke. Glad to see its humor has not been lost over the years.

i came across your channel when i was searching for help beating the heart as i was struggling hard and being a massive noob at the game, after watching for a few days I've picked up some tips and advice for runs have just beat the heart for the first time. I think Philo stone is a death sentence when you get to the heart much more often than not. That being said, I think it's much more takeable if you're able to deal with the birds in act 2 already, and you're not going for a heart kill, just climbing ascensions.

One suggestion - when speaking about a relic you are thinking of choosing could you keep the cursor over the icon so we can read the description. Some of us aren’t as experienced at the game as you. I’m constantly trying to pause a 0.05 sec hover over one 😂. Loving the content by the way!

Enemy health managment is a block card because utilization of the Fatal mechanic makes you stronger which leads to taking less damage

Just love the content man. Every now and then i take a break from this game (and climbing ascensions) but your content keeps pushing me to eventually beat a20 heart. Highest Character rn is the Ironclad at a15.

31:34 I can confirm that Ornamental Fan triggers BEFORE the final Beat of Death, so don't worry about that. Best part of the run I learned that: I was at 1 HP, and it was the second of the doubled attack from the Necronomicon that both triggered the Fan and killed the Heart.

I recently discovered how to beat the heart on Defect without orbs. Just transform into Hyperbeam at the start, then take three more Hyperbeams and two Echo Forms. Oh, and two Genetic Algos before Act 3, which were both above 50 block thanks to the doubling. Snecko didn't hurt either. Seems like a lot of requirements though.

If you think of a combat as just an event that says: lose net 0-7HP to gain a card and a chance for a potion, you would definitely be slamming that as much as possible

On the bit about poison at the end of the turn: I think it'd be cool to have that handled by a burn status effect and leave poison as is. Burn could activate at the end, have a lower quantity and not decrease each turn. Could also align more with attacks instead of skills to apply it.

@@ZarovBeifong Latter is extremely OP. Especially for a common relic. Both relics should just be removed. They can be replaced with better themed ideas.
