Homeowners insurance isn't paying most claims because most people didn't have flood insurance which they were not required to have nore was it offered to them . They live up in the mountains, think about it , it doesn't flood their it's something they never had to deal with much like a hurricane. Hurricanes lose power and start slowing down really fast soon as they make landfall they do not keep going full blast ripping through 5 states. The mainstream news hasn't reported even half of what is going on in western North Carolina.

We pay tax dollars for this. People at FEMA are using our tax dollars to support their families. If you're saying we should take care of ourselves . Then we shouldn't get taxed to support the people who work for FEMA.

This man is doing it himself . And we all pay taxes that pays for fema to help in situations like this. These people in western North Carolina has lost everything, and in most cases homeowners insurance won't cover the loss because they don't have flood insurance. They were not required to have flood insurance and was not offered flood insurance because they live in the mountains, and you don't have flooding in the mountains just like you don't have hurricanes in the mountains. Our government, big corporate insurance companies have all left thousands and thousands of families without help or options , and 90 percent of people don't have money to just rebuild their homes many are making house payments already . Your right many years ago Americans didn't rely on government help. But our government has put in effect of us all paying taxes and every year we pay more and more and more all to pay for government inteties that are supposed to fund schools,roads,bridges, social security, disaster relief ect... so theirs a problem when we pay all our lives into this stuff but if the time comes and we need help because of a natural disaster or more like a natural disaster that was powered by man and technology because never has a hurricane kept power sweeping through 5 states. But anyway our government rather take our tax dollars and support and help out illegal immigrants

Cadaver dogs have died, rescue volunteers shoes melted off their feet because of toxic chemicals.
