Just be careful, Dawn soap is like a clarifying shampoo. It’s better to use when your hair has a lot of buildup, like if you had braids for a while or have a lot of product left on your hair. Although it will make your hair “squeaky” clean, just be mindful it can break your hair off with frequent use.

Thats how I use it. I have locs and I use Dawn every 4 months or so as a clarifying shampoo. Does a perfect job of removing oil and buildup, and works better and is a lot cheaper than most products on the market. I follow up with a hydrating shampoo and then do a leave in made with aloe and glycerine to counter the dryness and eliminate breakage.

I shampooed my hair with Dawn Soap years ago and it worked very well. But I looked at the ingredients and I was scared to try it again. So now I use ACV or Kinky Curly Come Clean Shampoo to clarify my hair.

Love your curls ❤ I use dawn, when I feel like my hair is in need of a reset. I definitely get more volume afterwards, because it’s a good and cheap clarifying wash.

Hey Britney, show off them 💪 Baby!!!👑 content and hard work well appreciated. I don’t know what type of hair type or texture I got ( mixed with everything🤣 ) But I agree my hair loves washing it once a week than the old saying “ Dirty Hair Makes yo hair grew” ••I was younger•• Now 28 I’m hair loves wash days and just conditioner… my hair is been growing crazy. No vitamins or anything ( I use VO5 and or Gardner Fruitics ) I’m not natural. I go between relaxers and natural. My hair grows still with or without Perm

there is nothing wrong with using a dish detergent to wash hair, skin and nails. this is the second video ive seen that someone is using a dish detergent in that way. dawn is used to de-grease birds from oil spill. also proctor and gamble, johnson and johnson etc want their consumers to buy ALL their products even though one product has multiple uses. i would avoid using a dish detergent with oxi in it on the skin, however. for example, all one needs to do laundry is a powder, vinegar and baking soda. the rest of the stuff on the market is just a consumerism scheme.

i’ve watched your videos for a while now and i have a question. I remember you saying that your hair was up to chin length. Were you still keeping out your natural hair when it was that short? And if you were, how did you start taking care of it? But if you didn’t, and they were in a protective hairstyle, how did you take care of your hair while in a protective hairstyle? thank you❤

Girlfriend my hair would have rebelled and jumped off my head screaming in protest!!🤣🤣🤣 I am so afraid to try anything outside of my normal haircare products, because the last time I tried a different shampoo and conditioner my hair was so cobwebby and tangled I was like NEVER AGAIN!!😵😵😵 Leave-ins, butters, or oils she ok but IDK what is is about shampoo and conditioner she just doesn't like. Your hair looks absolutely gorgeous!! I am still trying to tame my mane😩 LOL! Any pointers would be great if anyone has any to help with this wild child on my head🙄

I'm surprised. I thought it would be worse since I've used shampoos in the past that instantly matted up my hair on contact despite my hair not tangling much. So I thought dish detergent must be worse or the same as that but I guess not. I definitely would not use this as it's not formulated for the health of your scalp and I'm not trying to get scalp psoriasis, seb derm or something else.
