On console overwatch you can enable this exact same effect, I believe they're called "aim modes" in the settings, you've got linear, dual zone, and exponential. Dual zone is what Kenzo uses in this video.

using a "jump" graph is kinda wacky IMO, however, when i started with mouse accel, i was also using a wacky graph... i was using a natural curve with gain and massive input delay, essentially doing the same thing you have here, jumping between a high and low sens. eventually, if you stick with accel, you end up using linear, because it makes the most sense/is the most simple. all the other versions just kinda have some stupid BS baked-in. accel-using Quakers told me the same thing 2+ years ago when i started with accel, and i didn't believe them, linear just felt so bad... you gotta tweak it a bit to get the accel right, and you wanna put an output cap on it so that you can control your maximum accel/sens. another fun note about using mouse acceleration: more dpi=more better. i'm sure there's a cutoff to this somewhere, but you should use at least 1600dpi when using accel. no, seriously. i started there, then went to 3200dpi, now 6400dpi... more dpi means more updates on the curve, which means a smoother 1:1 feel between your hand speed and input accel. there is a noticeable jump in feel/input delay between 1600dpi and 3200dpi if you're using mouse acceleration. non-accel users, ignore this talk about more dpi=more better, just use what you want. no one asked, but here's my graph on Raw Accel. 144cm/360 >>> 43cm/360 or for people who can't visualize cm, 57in/360 >>> 17in/360 6400dpi, 1 sens quake/source (i don't play OW anymore, but mouse-sensitivity dot com says to use "Sensitivity 3.33%") linear graph. no gain. 0.045 sens multiplier 0.01 acceleration 3.3 output cap for Overwatch, i used to uncheck the "Lock X & Y" box, then add 1.2 on the Y/X ratio, because that makes the Y/X ratio feel more like Quake to me. this honestly feels even more like cheating than the graph itself, lol. i can directly counteract any crappy/sloppy engines in FPS games i end up in, simply by adjusting the Y/X ratio until it feels like Quake. sorry for the novel! love seeing your frag vids, as always c:

@@another25 if you want to try it, just try it. your skill level is irrelevant. the "benefit" of accel is irrelevant. it's entirely up to you. you will not become a god gamer by simply using accel. the problems with your gameplay you have now are all inside your head, not your mouse, and only you can fix them. you use mouse acceleration for basically one reason only: because you want a high and a low sens, and you're sick of compromise. when you pick a low sens, you aim well, but generally target switch and deal with chaos poorly. when you pick a high sens, generally you are less precise with aim (tracking suffers most), but can easily target switch and handle chaos. when you pick a sens in the middle, it kinda does both things, but it always feels like a compromise. you spend years searching for that golden sweet spot, but it never feels quite right, no matter what you do. this is where accel comes in, you get the benefit of low, slow, precise sensitivity; and you get high, fast, target-switching sensitivity. you'll have to let your brain learn another variable you never calculated: your hand speed. it takes some adjusting, but really it's not that bad. it's extremely intuitive to move the mouse slowly when you want precision, and quickly when you want speed. most people already do this. people crying about "muscle memory" have never actually tried putting new memories in their muscles, that's why they're so scared. don't listen to the haters. people are so averse to learning that they're terrified of any change. just make the change, and learn to learn. if you don't like it, change again, but keep learning.

I agree with you on on snaptap, that's cheating. But a server latency reducer just enhances your connection. Connecting to a game is not cheating. And raw accel takes skill to use and feel the advantages, it's not like aimbot or snaptap where anyone can instantly get unfair benefits. Not to mention it's a verified mouse driver.

Server latency - How can this be remotely considered cheating? Snap tap - Hardware advantage, not nearly on the same level as having a better headset, better monitor, higher fps. Mouse Acceleration curve modified - Sure, it's optimized for his preferences, but it still requires good aiming, aiming did not become easier, just more comfortable, if you use that with low mechanical skills you'll actually do worse.

I feel like should be a legal software since all it does is automate switching between dpi settings. Some players get mice that do the same thing with just holding down a button, so a software that does it based on wrist movement speed is just changing muscle memory from involving an input.

I am using acceralition around 4 years and can't play without it i am using steelseries mouse for that you can adjust decelartaion too pretty useful helps a lot about aiming and turning when i aim it doesn't turn on but when i try to turn flick or smth it works smootlhy it takes lots of time and practice but worth it

Also theres the fact that if a widow is carrying then the enemy team can just swap dva/winton or sombra and just constantly dive the widow. The only way i could see her getting a rework is not allowing her normal sniper to 1 tap 250hp like hanzo and if her e was replaced with a penetrating shot that can 1 shot headshot on a 5-10 sec cooldown, however this would break her character identity and many people would be mad..

If it is not a game setting then it is cheating. If it is a third party setting, like a setting on the mouse/keyboard itself and not a setting initially on the game then yes it is cheating. It is the same thing as having a script ran and saying "its not cheating, i just have better settings on my console/pc".

I'm not sure how I feel about this because I'm not sure I understand how it works. How does it know when to swap sensitivities and how do you prevent it from accidentally triggering? And if it doesn't work like that, then why would you go through the extra effort of teaching yourself new muscle memory?

He is using a mode called 'Jump Curve'. It uses your base sens until it hits a mouse speed threshold, then multiplies your sens by a number you decide as long as you are passed the speed threshold. Once you leave that, it goes back to your base sens. The same applies for every mode, but the difference with his is instead of a slow progression to the higher sens, it 'jumps' right to it.
