Glad you showed the issues with the floor for us to learn! I kept telling myself "not a real snake".....I agree with your daughter that banister looks legit! How cool to be able to try something way different. I have known belts, purses and shoes being made from snakeskin but nothing else. The bar looks so sleek and modern. You did a wonderful job. Unfortunately none of my miniatures are unpacked as of yet - otherwise I would show you the cheap plastic Play Scale (Barbie) handbag I covered with snake shed to create a perfectly scaled 1:12 "train case". The advantage of air brushing is it keeps extra moisture to a minimum and should not warp project when done correctly. Vallejo also make several glazes that are shiny to flat for the air brush. Of course you are still an internet sensation without the air brush! Hugs!

Wow Ara, you are so brave to use the snake shed. It turned out great! I can imagine what it feels like too. Over 10 years ago someone gave me the shed skin from a boa constrictor. I never could figure out what to do with it, but it was so cool, I had to keep it. I hope it's still intact in the box I've been storing it in! Maybe I'll have to try crafting with it (although it won't be a miniature!) The floor looks great too now that you've fixed it.
