Thanks for the video! I loved your transition from smartphone to dumbphone over the weekend. Great job minimizing distractions while studying, even though some tasks like WhatsApp for college communication and travel need a smartphone. Nice mug ☺️. Oh i love this phone!!! its absolutely gorgeous with its little mirror! Ive been using the same 2660 flip model from nokia (also in a pink colour) and i've been absolutely loving it!! I tried with several dumb phones, but had an issue with different things... the best is probably always gonna be a flip phone for me because i don't accidentally keep pocket dialing the police lmao

One alternative I have thought of is using an old Nokia smartphone running Symbian. There was recently a patch released that allows TLS 1.2 support on S60 devices, which lets you use modern websites on them

Ive wanted a dumb phone but the things i need doesnt come with a dumb phone. Your video about dumbing down your smartphone helped alot i just use a minimalist launcher. God bless.

I can imagine it is impossible to go dumbphone at college. I went to university 7 years ago now and despite having no social media I had to get a facebook account in order to have any campus social life or book onto any events, even to keep up to date with university news. 7 years later I can only imagine colleges are even more tied to digital technology.

Are you contacts on your sim card or on your phone? I have some contacts on my sim card and so only those ones were transferred. I'd check first that your contacts are on the SIM card from your old phone and not just put directly on your old phone

Hey! I might have a solution for you! I recently switched to a dumb phone and completely got rid of my smartphone, but I was battling with the same lack of functionality you mentioned. I ended up getting a "companion device". I got the boox palma. It runs full android but is on an e-ink screen. Because of it's dull, stuttery, but remarkable screen, it is able to provide functionalities like checking email or scanning QR codes without a problem! Hopefully this helps!
