Big lures do work! ❤That's a tasty fish 🐟 😋 perfect size, I've caught 3x bigger, and the meat is very grainy and not good, plus the really big ones are the main breeders ❤😊

Absolutely mate, I'm a big believer in letting any big fish go for those exact reasons, I have certainly noticed a large increase in Big Flathead in the last 5 years for sure 👍

Great video! Fishing is just so interesting and I love how you can never truly be an expert 😂

Thank you. Yeah I honestly don't even think I could formulate a single thought about flathead at all now, don't know anything about them

Well done mate, what a great day / sessions. That's it now i have to go out in the morning & instead of 3 & 4 inch Clone Prawns i just put on a Prolure 6" sinking UltraGar & i have a new packet of Powerbait 150 paddletails. There was a lot of Flatty in that channel area & nobody else fishing it huh. 👍
@jcsfishingshenanigansАй бұрын
Thanks mate, yeah definitely upscale for added fun 😎👍. Actually people fish that spot very often, it's all about knowing the when more than the where 😎👉 everyone asks where, but no one asks when, which is actually more important 😅

Jeez mate thats some incredible footage and great fishing... you never know how big is too big for some things until you try hey. which brand of lure was this exactly?
@jcsfishingshenanigansАй бұрын
I reckon hey! What truely is the limit? So they are from CAST, and the lure name is prodigy, sold exclusively at Tackle worlds 👍

In port hacking in sydney i use nothing smaller then a 7 inch plastic and a 1 ounce jig head.all of the flatties ive caught over the years no flathead has been less then 65cm.biggest 98cm. But on those lures ive also caught kingys and jewfish.
@jcsfishingshenanigansАй бұрын
That's it hey, when you take a look at what's in the natural areas you'll start noticing that 7 inch lures are actually not that big at all. I'm keen to see what else I can pick up on the bigger lures 👍
@tiller_gorilla7220Ай бұрын
@@jcsfishingshenanigans i ive had guys maybe up to 3 boats try my drifts behind me and they get nothing yet i just haul em in up to 3 or 4 each drift as i go up start again and repeat same drifts they get upset and go elsewhere i get a gd laugh.they all go back in swimming for next time.kings and jews stay in the boat lol

Do you use any scent on your lures? Might help get their interest when they are skittish.

Not really anymore hey, I used to back in the day. But yes it would be very interesting to test that
