I've already crashed my DJI Neo!! Flying in FPV Mode...

Yep, my first FPV flight within hours of opening the box for my DJI Neo drone. And YES, it is a LOT of FUN! And YES, I immediately crashed it!
Note that this drone is under 250g, so in Canada there is no requirement to have a spotter when flying FPV (First Person View...goggles)....well, as long as you are not doing anything stupid like flying through tripod legs or endangering manned aircraft or people on the ground.

For the kinds of shots one would be taking with this drone, I see absolutely nothing wrong. And I'm sure DJI will add camera control settings at some point in the future, just as they have on other drones in the past.

Yes, I agree that FPV mode is the best for this one, but also fun to try the 'HoverAir emulation mode' with all the selfie functions!

Fun! I picked up the Goggles 3 and Motion 3 for it as well. I had never flown FPV before and my first flight was a blast! Good to know about sub-250g not requiring a spotter, that makes it even better. Cheers Don!

FPV is definitely fun, particularly if you have a spot to rip around without bugging anybody. Unoccupied playground equipment appears to be designed for FPV.

It's really good! The Canadian rules are just like any other drone under 250g: Don't endanger people on the ground or manned aircraft; stay away from wildfires and other emergency situations....don't do anything stupid. You do NOT need a spotter/visual observer. Oh...and probably don't try to fly between your tripod's legs on the first flight...LOL!

These are no doubt expected to crash. Follow drone with a down sensor. Thankfully they are caged and light so crashing is expected

@@-G-Mac- I recall seeing some experiments, but they would not be suitable for a off-the-shelf drone like a DJI: the specs would be totally different than what the drone would expect.
