When I started to learn guitar, I used the previous version. It has made a tremendous impact on my playing, basically what kept me from just losing interest. They way I used it was more as just sight reading for guitar - once you get good enough that you dont need to look at the fretboard, you can pretty much play any song you want instantly. Highly recommend

For a beginner RS14 was really helpful to learn songs that you like, especially to keep your interest up, but it's a double edged sword, you can get some bad habbits from it..

If you are a beginner, I would highly advise against exclusively learning with this. Learn the song, then close this and play it along a backing track, metronome or the actual song. I once played with a dude who exclusively learned using a similar bouncing ball app, and he was in huge trouble adapting to the band, and overall listening to others.

I learned to play guitar with Rocksmith 2014 and despite being very thankful for it and recognizing that it has a lot of great for that purpose, I got to agree with you on that. I had no feeling for rhythm in my first years because I was never stimulated to rely on it when playing since the game would tell when to play what. Looking back I should have still recognized that there's a rhythm to playing and it would have made it way easier than trying to hit the right timing as if it were a quick time event. Eventually, after about a year and a half I stopped playing it because I felt it wasn't providing me with anything I needed anymore, that it had done what it was meant to do. I then went on my guitar journey on my own, improving and learning along the way. Last year though, out of nostalgia I decided to try it out again and it was an interesting experience. Now understanding how to properly practice, learn songs and get a feeling for them made it way more fun than I remembered.

Simple pleasures. As an artist myself, there's this feeling that washes over me when I'm drawing or painting when I can almost see my work as an outsider might. Sometimes it's good, like 'wow, I did that?' Most times it's a 'ah, that part is rubbish and needs to be erased and fixed' or 'the shading needs to be improved.' It's a unique feeling. Sitting on the ground with my sketchbook, back against the office building I work in; watching colors spread across the page. I get it, man. My brother is the musically inclined artist in our family whereas I'm the visual one. I'm currently finishing up my design for his latest tattoo. Tibetan thangka style clouds for his back to match the ones I did for his chest.

Honestly for someone who followed the development of this game, I’m pretty disappointed that it became a subscription based app instead of an actual game. Clearly they didn’t want to pay for a soundtrack for a flat fee like the 2011 and 2014 versions. Also originally being planned for Xbox and PS5 with no explanation of why they decided not to. I’m never getting this as owning any version of Rocksmith is the same thing. At least the other ones actually look like a game.

You can set all tracks to their highest difficulty by default (having to play all the notes) somewhere in options. I never found the dynamic difficulty thing useful personally. Rocksmith was great for me to start learning electric guitar before I had an amp though. It had everything I needed to start in one easy place, and being able to get custom songs took it to another level. Eventually outgrew it after a few years once I got to a certain level and got a good amp, but it was a great stepping stone.

As you probably already know a Pythagorean semitone (half-step say between C & C# if tun’d to ‘equal temperament’) consists of ‘100 equally-spac’d cents’) / but for some reason the recording on this video is representing notes (e.g. separate Phrygian notes of its mode) that are approx 25-40 cents ‘flat’ at times - I imagine the use of some kind of ‘vibrato’ on the part of the player would skirt / dance-around the noticeably ‘flat notes’ making them appear to sound ‘in tune’ - that’s how my European ancestors between 1400 CE to the present got around such concinnities… Mozart (pronounc’d MOTE-tzart) apparently compos’d this beautiful 2nd movement finale Rondo (‘alla Turca’ i.e. in the Turkish ‘stile’ on lin’d Viennese paper whose watermark [the deeply-imprinted but invisible under normal light manufacturer’s company-sigil] can now be dated to March-April 1783 (the ‘very neat‘ fair copy’ autograph score in M.’s own handwriting & ink-type was recently re-discover’d with a few differences from the later printed score which the botanist/cataloguer Ludwig von Korchel enter’d into his chronological list of Mozart’s compositions as known in 1862 as Koechel nr 311 (i.e. K. 311 of c. Jan 1778 in Mannheim) - We’ve since discover’d over 300 previously-unknown autograph scores of Mozart’s music (including 20 new sinfonias from his youth from the age of 10 through 15) so the Koechel catalogue of Mozart’s musical incipits (the opening 4 bars of each work) has had to be revis’d 7 times as of 2023-bringing the total number of separate compositions ranging from a single song to an entire 4-hour opera (e.g. D: Giovanni, Oct 1787) from ‘626’ to something around c. 934 works, the last 450 of which are all ‘technical masterpieces’ … from a man who began composing at the tender age of 4 & died from kidney failure brought on by a streptococcal infection on 5 December 1791 at the age of 35 years & 10 months … But people stick to tradition & stubbornly still use the original [outdated] 1862 numbering of Koechel and add newly discover’d compositions with small letters (e.g. K. 622a) or put an equal sign between the old numbering & the new catalogue numbering (e.g. K.311 = KV 432a) At any rate, this delightful finale to the Klavier Sonata in A-major K. 311 is mark’d ‘Rondo : Allegretto’ which is faster than a plain ‘allegro’ tempo (lit. ‘happy’) - for a rough idea of what Mozart intended with this Rondo, check out the forte-piano recordings of world-class keyboard artists such as the late Malcom Bilson of K. 311 (in 2 ‘movements’) which should give any attentive listener a taste of how M. depicted Turkish music (also his ‘Turkish German singspiel-opera’ the Abduction from the Harem K. 382 of the autumn of 1781 then abandon’d then pick’d up again for the Act III German Libretto rewrites in May-June 1782 - within a year that this delightful Turkish Rondo was compos’d) This self-same Rondo was featur’d in somewhat abbreviated-edited form in William Wyler’s film-masterpiece ‘Wuthering Heights’ (1939) perform’d by harpsichordist Alice Ehlers (who died in 1981 !!) a pupil of the renown’d Russian-Polish harpsichordist Wanda Landowska-about 3/4 of the way through the film - she plays this Rondo as a true Allegretto / and even a little faster than expected ! LoL

I didn't know about interfaces... but that's exactly what it is. Some day if it breaks I'll have to buy an Scarlett or something, but until then I can enjoy not having to carry a box around (on top of the laptop and the guitar), having that functionality integrated in the cable :_D

@SdgGsd-sw5vd
@SdgGsd-sw5vd Жыл бұрын
what are you on about? Rocksmith always had the option of simply connecting the guitar via normal cable with a small jack at one end which goes into the mic port in your sound card. And the tracking was surprisingly good, I would say at most 5% less accurate than a connection via dedicated cable. Another option for improved tracking would be a jack to USB interface (external sound card or any guitar processor from the 2010s cause all had USB by that time, in case you already had one of course). I was intrigued by the concept of playing a game with my guitar instead of the usual keyboard and mouse, at first, but I quickly lost interest. Never saw the appeal of the guitar hero games either, and while Rocksmith is a giant leap in the right direction from the Guitar hero game concept, I couldn't pick it up again today. Note for all the avid Guitar Hero players out there though: throw that game out with the trash and get Rocksmith. If you're on a budget and don't have a real guitar yet, you can get the cheapest model that you can find, get a used Harley Benton/Squier Bullet, as long as it's functional and it tracks it will do fine for this game

The PC version is the only version that matters because you can add way more interesting arrangements of songs off the web then what's offered in the store. That real tone cable is grossly over priced and fragile. 3rd party cables only "work" on the PC version and are a lot cheaper. When the cable cost more then the game I can't support that. Corporate greed.
