I guess it's part of some people BUT we can change the narrative with ourselves and most importantly our children.. We should educate our children and young ones about some certain things they might witness outside the home,in that way they would be too inquisitive about it from the person there by making the person uncomfortable

As parents we need to teach our children to be kind. When my kids see people who are created differently and stare or question I first tell them it’s not nice to stare at people because it breaks their hearts and explain to them God creates people differently for a different purpose in their lives. I make an example to my five year old and also remind my now 9 year old that when they draw people do they always draw them the same? I tell them just as little children like to experiment with colour and how the people they draw look differently-formed so does God do that. I don’t correct my little one’s way of drawing her people like we were taught. She draws people without noses and ironically I saw a toddler on social media who was born without nasals. They have dolls with albinism (I sell them) and I recently bought a doll on a wheelchair cos my 5 year old asked me the other time why a man was sitting on a chair with wheels. Ironically my dad became paraplegic the year I was conceived but they never got to meet him as he passed away in 2007. My first desk mate in first grade was a boy with albinism and I learned a lot about albinism just by studying him throughout my schooling and still learning about it now. There’s a certain doll brand making dolls with different looks. They now have one with Down syndrome now.

I can completely relate with her... Your innocence gets taken away at a very young age. What seems normal to you suddenly becomes an insecurity because of the comments and constant questions, which make you see yourself as different. I'm an introvert, but it became worse when everyone around started hi lighting how different my legs and feet were. The best question I've been asked is "why are your feet like this?". My friends used the fact that I was viewed as wierd to make gain attention for themselves. This kills a lot areas in you; you always hide yourself, you feel as though you deserve all bad things happening to you because of how you look, you seek external approval and there is only more room for disappointment than anything else. What's even worse about this is that you lose the discernment of knowing the bad people because you just want to be accepted... But where the presence of the Lord is, there is freedom!🙏🏽

It's actually nice hearing such stories and testimonies. I just want to share that we are all fearfully and wonderfully made, we must appreciate how God made us, this message is also directed to you lovely ladies, I love you all and so does God. And it is God's will for us to be natural just as he made us, if we add artificial beauty unto what God has given us, we are discrediting God's perfect work and it's like we are ashamed of being natural. I know that many will defend artificial beauty but can we all look at this from God's point of view, how does he feel when he perfectly created us and then we hide what he created with artificial ones, we are actually correcting him. I wish to address your dressing as well with love, don't wear seductive clothes, you become a stumbling block to someone and the scriptures tells us that we must not cause others to stumble. Please embrace inward and outward holiness, without holiness no one will make it to heaven. A way to heaven is narrow and it requires self denial, we must die to self and let Christ take over. May we not serve God in vain, after everything and then find ourselves among those who will say Lord Lord but will not be granted access to heaven. In a world of fashion and trends may we stand our ground of holiness, may we not follow every path that we see, let's carry the cross and follow Jesus Christ. Worldliness will lend us in hell. God loves us all, may we also love him by keeping his commands and forsaking worldliness.

i always tell people who try to shame me for my skinny legs that at least i can walk, run and my legs are beautiful. besides if they were big they would be abnormal looking for my body and i wouldn't be able to be a long distance runner. My legs look exactly like Beyonce's but smaller cause I'm smaller than Beyonce. I also tell people who complain about their ugly toes and ugly fingers to love their toes, hands and fingers cause there's no surgery for that and they'll have them until the day they leave this life. My younger brother has 6 fingers and he was never ashamed of them, in fact he knew how to defend himself against anyone who would bully them. The greatest thing about being bullied or ostracised as a child is that it builds independence and character that takes you a long way once you're an adult

As society we can be so mean.... I had a friend who had the same congenital deformity. And so she would put her hand in her pocket but she had showed me. And so one day during break time at school, one of the teachers slapped her so hard for always putting her hand in the pocket. She slowly removed her hand and the way he froze. I really felt bad. As society we should teach our children that even children who seemingly are different from them are God's creation and equal. Wishing you well and hope you accept yourself.
