Hello! I'm Kelly and I've had Meniere's disease since 2010. On May 25, 2023, I had a brain surgery for Meniere's disease called a Vestibular Nerve Section and Craniotomy after I exhausted all treatments for Meniere's disease. I kept a private video journal while I recovered from surgery and recently decided to make it public in hopes it would help others go through this surgery recovery. The date this video was recorded is listed below. I'm happy to answer any questions you have or talk more about my experience. Recovering from brain surgery was unlike anything I've every experienced. But I've come so far and I am SO glad I did it. Thanks for going on this journey with me!

Gentamicin injected into the ear works for a huge part of the population in treating Meniere's vertigo. It can take 1-3 injections (not at the same time), and usually it works to eliminate vertigo. There is a very very small part of the population it doesn't work for (me). I had 9 injections over 8 years before I moved on to another more aggressive treatment. I have videos on Gentamicin and even show how they do the injection. The playlist of videos about Gentamicin is here: kzbin.info/aero/PLTGnpduSk6I2LLWmIkjkWfdS4w-tKPvOJ If you have any questions from watching those videos, I'd be happy to answer them!

Lisa, my heart is with you. It is someone no one should ever have to go through or endure. Suffering for that long and being bedbound for that long is so painful physically and emotionally. I truly understand because I've been bedbound that long before. It is *so* hard and hellish and draining. You're not alone. Thinking of you. 💜
