Hey everyone, today I finally checked out Dimash and his performance of SOS.
What an amazing artist, you guys were not joking at all when you said he was on a whole other level. I don't think I've ever been so split on which artist is my favourite lol.
Thank you everyone who recommended him to me, this was truly incredible!

I'm from the Philippines and you cannot compare Dimash to any artist. That would be unfair to both artists. Dimash is in a league all on his own. Dimash with his impressive 6 octave range, trained in classical & contemporary music since he was 5 years old (still continues to train), multiple degrees under his belt,sings in 13 languages, plays 7 musical instruments and composes his own music as well. More power to you.

@@bumbarabun He does. Not fluently, but he manages. He understands it quite well. A translator is always handy to have when time is of the essence. Dimash can afford it and he is a busy young man to waste time when he knows he does not have a good verbal command of the language. Dimash is from KAZAKHSTAN. He has been professional Academy trained since the age of 5. Basically, the standard piano keyboard is his playground. He is a Master Class for any musician, singer or composer. Yes, many countries can boast some outstanding vocalists, but Dimash is in his very own league. His concerts are over three hours long, where he sings opera, contemporary, pop, rap, folk and rock folk etc. he plays instruments, do a bit of dancing, chat and joke with the audience, come down unto the audience at the end and he is the most respectful, humble, honourable man. Well, Marcelito is wonderfully talented but, in my opinion, this man from Kazakhstan is head and shoulders above any other singer on the planet. Of course, I've heard over 140 performances of Dimash, so I have more to go on than just "SOS"---which barely scratches the surface. And as for Mariah Carey, she can only dream of having the vocal range that Dimash has! Dimash has a 7 octave vocal range, sings in 13 languages, plays seven instruments, acts, models and sings brilliantly in every genre from pure opera to Kazakh rap. There is no one else who comes even close when it comes to pure talent.

As far as "putting his heart and soul into this performance," Dimash does that every time. He doesn't just sing to your ears, he sings to your soul. You might want to check out all of the performances on the 2017 "I Am a Singer" Chinese reality show (especially "Adagio,") to help you understand the platform that turned Dimash into a worldwide phenomenon, and then the 2021 performance of "Stranger," (New Wave version) in Russia which will help give you full appreciation for his vocal range and creativity before jumping head first into the rabbit hole and experiencing all that Dimash has to offer.

After digesting those performances, I can't stress enough my recommendation for one of his most recent songs and music video (mini movie) the artistic masterpiece "The Story of One Sky" that he wrote the screenplay for and spent 3 years composing the music for, which displays a lot of his range (not all) and soooo many vocal techniques and dynamics, including sub harmonics, whistle register, bass, tenor, baritone, classical, jazz, pop, rock and unreal metal screams....and unbelievable dramatic acting. Dimash is the first global superstar to arrive from Kazakhstan, he's already in the middle of his second world tour having held mostly stadium sized concerts in the US, UK, Russia, Ukraine, Germany, the Czech Republic, Dubai, Armenia, China, and Malaysia. Dimash is from Kazakhstan, which is the northernmost and largest "-stan" jammed up between Russia and China and kind of touching Mongolia, but with Georgia over on the west. It was a USSR member until 1993 (one year before Dimash was born), so Dimash is fluent in Kazakh and Russian. They are in the process of taking back their language and culture, so you may see Qazak and Qudaibergen as the more typical spellings rather than the more Russian "K" spellings. Yes, he is singing in French. His big break was singing this same song in 2017 on a big Chinese professional singing competition. He was an outsider from Kazakhstan, the youngest performer, probably his first pro competition and singing in French to a Chinese audience that didn't know who he was.

Dimash is perfection. 🇺🇸 fan here. And this to me isn't even his best performance singing "sos". You should watch " Stranger (New Wave 2021)". Dimash is in Russia but the song is sung in English. It is mindblowing. He is a once in a lifetime/century singer who has perfect voice control, pitch....everything. When anyone sees him sing for the first time it is eye opening. Shock and awe lol. I forgot something - He is from Kasachstan and got the 2nd place at a huge singing Contest (for professionals!! only) - He got 2nd place!! Why? Only Chinese was allowed to get in the 1st place... Only reason! EVERY PERFORMANCE of him has mind-blowing things you'll never expect - believe me or Not, you will expierience 😂 The the also a Music Movie from him - The Story of one Sky - you will cry while watching it - I promised!
