I’d subscribe if you broke into the music less and talked less about other crap than the song. I like you two but, sometimes the breaks make me frustrated.

More accurate to say that they had to sing for real or you just ain't got it. You couldn't cheat on anything aside from adding reverb for the most part. That includes instruments.

The story of the song: the man is working undercover for the FBI. He is in the bad guys club “a nest of bad men”, drinking with them “whiskey bottles piling high”, bootlegging boozer on the west side of town “doing wrong”. He was just about to call in the District Attorney (the “D A Man”) to bust them when he heard a woman singing. He was struck by one particular feature that coursed his arousal, her 45 inch chest! The rest of the song is him saving her from being arrested! A pair of forty fives made me open my eyes My temperature started to rise She was a long cool woman in a black dress Just a 5'9" beautiful 'n' tall Just one look I was a bad mess 'Cause that long cool woman had it all

You’re in for an absolute ride with The Hollies. Easily one of the greatest English bands of them all, as they came around the same time as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, etc. You definitely have to listen next to, just to name but a few of their hits: -“He Ain’t Heavy (He’s My Brother)” -“Bus Stop” -“The Air That I Breathe” -“Sorry Suzanne”
@woodysthoughts40323 жыл бұрын
I was wondering when someone would get around to The Hollies. They were one of my favorite bands in the late sixties and into the seventies. I'm sure you'll do some of their monster hits like "He Ain't Heavy, He's my Brother," and "The Air that I Breathe," but I'd like to see you react to their early stuff too, like "Carrie Anne," "Bus Stop," "Just One Look," "On a Carousel" or "Stop, Stop, Stop."

The list of great Hollies songs is pretty long. One of the most beautiful is "The Air That I Breathe." And "He Ain't Heavy (He's My Brother)." But to truly experience the Hollies, you really need to go back and catch some of their early stuff. Like "Bus Stop," and "Stop, Stop, Stop," and "Carrie Ann," and my favorite, "Look Through Any Window." One of the truly great groups that were part of the British Invasion of the '60s.

Hey Kids, Glad to see you like music from the 1970's. I was a teenager in the 70's. Every type of music was great back then. I listen to everything back then. R&B and Rock my favorites. I live on Medicare so I don't have money to donate for the house. But that is a good idea. If you can listen to a group called Vehicle, song The Ides Of March. It was hot back in the day. Good Luck with the house and everything.😍 5-8-2021
