Crazy how it took her HOURS until she FINALLY decided to do the basic ending where you follow the Narrator's instructions without the buckets. You can tell she's a rebel when you see how she's trying to get out of every situation to find her own branching path in every room when she tries to open every fake-door and squeeze where she can't. 🤣
@ShadyDoorags Жыл бұрын
Not really a rebel. It's gamer instinct (explore the opposite direction the game wants you to go) combined with the ability to troll in a consequence free environment.
@vanillacakez2586 Жыл бұрын
@@ShadyDoorags That sounds like bullshit.
@mitchib1440 Жыл бұрын
@@vanillacakez2586 Actually it's very logical. Games are naturally quite linear and many don't give you the option to go against what they tell you to do. It's human nature to explore. So when presented with a choice to follow the instructions or not, considering it's a meaningless game environment without consequences anyway, it's perfectly normal for people to push the boundaries when given the clear option to do so.

3:25:30 - It just now occurred to me that, the reason why this moment has the potential to be VERY emotional for the player, is probably because the escape pod was a Chekov's gun that has been in stasis for nearly 10 years. Back in 2013, we found the escape pod ending, it seemed just to be that, an ending that happens somewhat abruptly. In 2022, we get the bucket, and are able to put the bucket into the escape pod complete with a cutscene unlike any other moment in the game. ... then we end up in the epilogue, after *everything* has been said and done, we see a single remnant of the original Stanley Parable in an empty wasteland, and within it? The reassurance bucket, your best friend in the Ultra Deluxe version, adding nearly double the endings of the original. Imagine it from Stanley's perspective, assuming they remember the 9 year hiatus between the original and Ultra Deluxe, they remember every single ending of the original, every single outcome. And an action that you have done for god knows how long ago in some other timeline has finally returned.

Not *quite* the "full game" here...But pretty darn close. I really like your reactions while going through the game; IMHO, I should be able to enjoy that as much as I enjoy the game itself. Ironically enough, the most direct way to defeat the mind control machine is to blindly obey the Narrator...Go figure. Ah yes, the Broom Closet Ending. It was always my favorite. The Infinite Hole is far deeper, literally & figuratively. Since you have a Teleport button, it's only as infinite as you have patience for which by definition, is still finite. And yet, could you expect the Narrator by himself to have the resources it would take to make it *truly* infinite? After all, he couldn't even make the Instant Achievement Award machine work properly, nor could he give you more jumps with the Jump Circle. It's not immediately intuitive to think of this but if your first time playing The Stanley Parable is the Ultra Deluxe edition, then it might be a good idea to try for every option/ending *before* going to see the New Content. At least, you could have the "baseline game" completed so you can see how much the Reassurance Bucket changes the entire game...literally *everything* is different, including the original content. For example, you didn't jump off from the platform in the Mind Control Facility TV Screen Room (climb up on the desk with the Light Bulb Button & go over the railing)...Even that changes depending on you having or not having the Bucket with you. Another example is when you jumped out of the office window (from Desk 434) twice, sans Bucket, you didn't even try to jump out *with* the bucket afterwards. There's probably more that I missed (or don't have the patience to type it all out) but at least these examples gets the point across. Ironically enough, the developer only *reinforced* The Stanley Parable's ultimate legacy at the end of the Epilogue...Just as the Fibonacci Spiral is a plotted curve based on the Golden Ratio, the game itself keeps to its own "mathematical formula" that consistently repeats, causing the game to spiral in upon itself forever. Similar to the digital value of Pi, there is no end to it.
@sic1112 жыл бұрын
i like how the game have an end to "punish" the player who just desagree to follow the history options, by making him incapable to choose and then making him incapable to proceed the history, by making the requirement to do it impossible... And then it just evolve dramatically by making you empathize with the locutor when "Stanley broke", you get banished to the void, and the locutor get depressed, so Stanley cant be happy anymore because you arent pushing buttons, the player no longer can make choices so theres no game anymore triggering the credits, and the locutor no longer can have a history so he just get humbled, and you as the rebel finally empathize with him, and all the bads and the beauties happens because of you the player, putting soo much artistical meaning in your choices. This is a really incredible game.

This was a really fun watch, I didn't expect it to be actually the full game, I was like "there's no way they fit the whole game in 3 and a half hours", yet you somehow did. Of course you missed a few things, which is to be expected with how many different endings and small things there are in here, but you still definitely did most of it, even if the things you missed happened to be a couple of my favorite parts of the game. I'm specifically talking about the infinite hole ending and the ending where you go into the "escape" but without the bucket, which i hope you at least play on your own time.

This "full game" is a great example how bad cuts can ruin the experience of watching a video. You just don't let a scene finish, and jump into the future and the viewer is sitting there and be like "??? - What happened? how much did you cut out? how much did I miss? How did the other scene end? Did an Ending happen in between? How did you got here?" 30:30 for example. I think I would have enjoyed your playthrough, but this is ruining it for me, so Im gonna stop watching here.
