Valid issues but 1. The chain on the ZH2 is not covered and is very open to the elements so it attracts more dirt from the road. This is an issue with lots of naked bikes. It’s the same chain on my H2 SX and I have no issues. 2. Dark clutch fluid is due to the dye in the clutch lines, doesn’t affect the clutch fluid in anyway and it goes away after the first change in fluid. 3. That is a battery issue, where it has been discharged. Standard battery on the H2 is rubbish. Get a Shido lithium battery and it won’t happen again. 4. I had this on my 1000sx and ninja 650, seems to be a Kawasaki thing

Wire brush?...YIKES...Why are you using a wire brush? That most certainly will prematurely wear out seals/rings around the links. Never had problem using a nylon toothbrush. I believe my Suzuki owners manual actually says to NOT use a wire brush when cleaning the chain. I'm a fan of Kawasaki also which is why I watch your channel.

Yeah absolutely agree, using a wire brush to clean a chain is a big NO NO! Paraffin with an old tooth brush, then dry the chain thoroughly and re-lube immediately, time and patience is all you need.

Motul chain cleaner and Lube is some of the best stuff I've ever used on my RK chains. Never had a problem even after 10k miles still looks brand new.

The thing with the key is totally normal, I had a z900 and its the same stuff, not an issue at all haha Thanks for the video! Super interesting as I'm about to purchase of of these! :)

Hi , my wife owns a 2022 H2sx se, yes the dash also did a reset once wile on a 200km ride, remember that there is a recall on most of the H2 models on the timing chain tentioner, when the dealer phoned us to book the appointment they also mentioned that new software must be installed, all was done free of charge and after that the bike is perfect , the keyhole cover that turns is intentional, it is maent to cover in extreme conditions and is mentioned in some bikes manuals also,eg Suzuki Vstrom ,Honda crf ,happy biking guys

The cover thing is normal, if you could see the ignition lock under that cover, you would see that there is no way the cover could have ever been attached to the rotating part of the lock. If it was fixed to anything other than the part of the lock that rotates it wouldn't move at all and you wouldn't be able to turn the ignition.

Ignition, I have seen a few times over the years on different bikes doesn't help if wd40 has been used, same chain on my h2 & zx14 they tarnish even if cleaned regularly!! Apart from recall to change timing chain tensioner h2 no problems 😊

The dark clutch fluid is normal on the ZH2. Mine did the exact same. Had it replaced at 1st service. Read ZH2 forums. Everybody gets the dark clutch fluid.

The Ducatis I've owned in the past (900SSie, 748R) did the same, very dark very soon. Nothing to worry about.

I mean look at the pontiac g8 out here in the us they are still going for 18-20k and if you find a stock one it’s through the roof on pricing

You may have a seal in your cylinder housing starting to disintegrate. Usually only rubber breakdown colors it up that quickly.

Chain Wax is the lube I've used for 35 years. Doesn't fling, and provides excellent protection.

Don't like wax, sticks to hard and collects dirt. I use normal chain spray lube, spray mostly from the inside, give it a high speed run afterwards, the lube will creep towards the outside and some will fling off due to the centrifugal force.

@@rabola55 Not wax, Chain Wax is the product name, not it's consistency. Maybe you are remembering that big can that you put on the stove for non-o-ring chains?

Good video. Just would suggest, never ever clean a motorcycle chain, is madness. All you do is dehydrate the o/rings or other with the solvent in the cleaner & then the rollers inside either dry out or get ingress of contaminates. You just keep chain lubed up as best you can, if you never clean, this is relatively easy, chain will last much longer, guarantee you. I have tested this way & get aprox 30% more wear life. The biggest wear factor with chains next to cleaning them is having chain tension a little too firm. This kills chains & there is no way of checking when its a little too tight unless you compress rear end so back wheel centre, pivot & c/shaft sprocket are best in line. Ie, the longest position. Then check, adjust for a little slack & use this as a reference somehow. Is a complicated way but you only got to do once but if you dont do, then expect excess wear. Regards hyd fluid, only guessing, possibly the fluid not UV resistant, possibly get a sock for reservoir, maybe Kawasaki use crap fluid but it shouldnt happen. The other 2 issues are sad they not sorted as bike is very good otherwise.

This model comes with "KFFKHC" Kawasaki Fully Floating Key Hole Cover. People would pay a lot of money for that :-)

Chain is shit on almost all modern bikes, I normally change the entire kit as soon as I get the bike 🙂 the dashboard.. same problems on my previous ninja 1000sx, mine also broke once, Kawasaki gave me another one In warranty after 1 week 🙂 I love kawasaki and I can't wait to get my zh2se next week 👍✌️✌️✌️✌️

Heat and UV are the only things that would do that to DOT 3. Unless there is something In the clutch plates that dies the fluid.

Use Petrol by Dsolb to clean your chain... it cleans it so good, leaves it looking like new

the biggest issue of this bike is the prehistoric electronics. Stupid TC even at lower settings make you wait ages for power when cornering hard, its too lean orientend and it cuts on you even if you still have a lot of rear grip exiting corner. And dude, yopu have a 2 inches chicken strip so i can say you still have to learn how to properly use the weapon you bought.

Had my zh2 since 2020 it was one of the first in the uk brake fluid is the same on all the zh2 . Just change the chain and sprockets not a hard job

The issue you mention about the clock resetting. I got it too. and it happens when you start it. you put ignition on and everything is normal. But when you start it up the clock will have reset. After some troubleshooting I realized that the voltage on my battery was low and while trying to start up the bike gets totally power less for some milliseconds resetting the clock, lean angle etc.. You can see the voltage on the display. I think this starts happening when voltage drops to around 11 volts or under without engine on. I put the battery to charge with my smart charger and it actually detected that battery was sulfated. after desulfating battery all is good again and I have higher voltage on ignition....and the clock have not resetted since. Generally I think that the stock battery seem to be so so in quality. bike is new and battery should not start turning bad already. I have a 2020 zh2.

Mine too, from brand new in 2020. Other guys on a ZH2 forum have the same issue. (A Li Battery was recently installed, but just because I was upgrading my bikes to Li.)

same thing and I would say I 90% agree the bad battery causes it because same happens if you take the battery out for some time e.g. during the winter

I must be lucky I haven't had issues with my zh2 bought new 11 . 11 .21. I think it's hard to ware out the front tyre.luvin mine Filth Bike

The reset of your clock is probably down to the plug at the rear of the display isn't pushed in properly I had that issue on my 2020 zh2 clicked it in never happened again

time, lean angle and bluetooth connection resets...many ppl in different FB ZH2 groups complained about the same thing. Dealer confirmed firmware cannot be updated. Check scan shows no faults. A possibility is a faulty motorcycle battery (becuase same thing would reset if you take the battery out for some time). Some ppl had their displays replaced and same problem came back...was it the same problem with new display or the problem actually not connected to the display at all (losing the groud somewhere?)...Some say when they changed the battery, it stopped the clock resetting. Key door - same thing here... Chain - piece of crap, reports of breaking during the ride. Mine lost its original shape in certain parts, hence got the best DID chain that has better load tension performance than OEM and no compains since then

The Key being able to remove while riding is known my old Z750 2004 and my old Z1000 2007 did the same thing

2 of my kawis had the same issue with the key door.(2012 250r and my 2020 vulcan s) Thats all ive ridden kawi so i thought it was normal lol.

If you don't like the chain is it not easier to replace it then go to all that effort trying to clean it?

He is saying in the end he doesnt like to do maintenance all the time. I changed my clutch fluid right when I got it. Didnt go dark since. No issues with chain though.

@@martijngelling7189 I can't speak for the OP, but I'd I'd spent that much buying it, I wouldn't mind forking out bit more for a new DID chain or similar. If the original chain is that corroded then the only conclusion you can draw from that is that it hasn't been maintained correctly? I've got a Tutoro Chain Oiler fitted to my bike which means all I have to remember to do is it top it up every so often!

Hey, your clucth fluid is dark because your hydrolic line probably is too close to hot parts of the bike. The dark color is basically burned brake fluid. I have a ducati monster 1100 and had the same issue, I found a different path for the clutch line and now it doesnt turn to that color so fast! :)

Nice video, thanks, I like your style These are low-level issues, aren´t they? The power of this bike is not from this world. The first time "full throttle" in 2nd gear my bladder felt very weak. and this was not because I am 57. I had the privilege to drive many bikes, but this one..... I simply can´t put it into words. I am including Kawasaki in my prayers every night for this bike. I still have no issues with the chain or dark fluid, wait and see. But I am missing one real and big issue, that you surprisingly dit not mention: the exhaust. This is by far the ugliest piece of shit I have seen in my whole life mounted on a bike. Kawasaki, how could you?? Please fire the responsible man, he wants to harm you. Hey Goblin, this is no issue for you? I can´t believe it. Greetings from Bavaria (GER)

Wipe over the chain with a cloth and spray gt85 on after each ride

Saying "big bike" really let me know your experience. First of all it's not the chain that's making itself rusty, it's you. I can tell by seeing how filthy your head pipes are. The black clutch fluid is normal, welcome to forced induction.. however, I'm surprised you didn't complain about the seat height, because it's honestly too high

I have about 3 years experience in riding liter bikes. I still call it a bike bike and I think I will till I die. It’s just my reference of what class of bike I’m referring to (beginner bikes, mid class bikes, or big bikes or liter bikes). Also, 3 years might not be enough and experienced riders would agree. But I’m able to pace with liter bike riders that have 10+ years of riding experience.

The dark clutch fluid is normal. Mine did the same. Had it replaced at 1st service. If you read ZH2 forums, you discover everybody gets the dark fluid issue.

just get rid of the standard chain and buy a high quality DID chain. OEM chains are crap

I recomment a scottoiler for your chain.it will last way longer you hardly every have to adjust the chain

The build quality of the bike is shit tbh , it’s got a supercharger and that’s the thing that appeals to most people but compared to BMW or Triumph it’s a bit more Poundland . A great fun bike but the attention to detail….. nah . 4/10
