This food expo is an annual event in Korea to promote products from trading partners of Korea including the Philippines. And having Ms Jessica Lee who happened to be there and featured in her YT channel our export products and the event, will surely create awareness to Koreans and Filipinos in South Korea to support the products and will definitely expand the reach. So, kudos both to Ms. Jessica and Ms. Aleli.

Jessica, when one of the Staff recognized you it's like hitting the Jackpot full of Pinoy Goodies. You deserve it because any Pilipino who's following your Vlogs will be very honored and thankful for promoting our Humble Country which is your Second Home. BTW, that Smile on Sylvia's the moment the Mango touch her mouth is Epic. FYI, Philippine Mangoes were chosen by The Guinness Book Of World Records as the Most Nutritious, Tastiest, Sweetest, and Less Fibrous of all the World's Mango Varieties, especially from Guimaras. Sylvia, watchout for Jessica's Pilipino Menu she'll be cooking now that she had many Ingredients/Seasoning given by The Philippine Embassy. I almost forgot, Pili Nuts are the best tasting Nuts in the Philippines, the Bicol Region is famous for Pili Nuts.

@@chattcedric6321 exactly! i just thought it was, cause of the shape and pili doesn't grow here in mindanao. Talisay is hairy when brown while pili shell is smooth. It was just my ignorance of the nut thats why i called it that way. Yeah no doubt your right 🤤.

@@wrailee Tnx for your insights, am glad you know the big difference. BTW, we eat the meat of the Pili. Before, it's still green and we wait till its black/ripe and ready to harvest and we pour hot water (don't boil it) and let it be for about half an hour till it's soft. Then we peel the the black skin and we eat its soft meat by dipping in Patis (fish/shrimp Sauce). And gather the seeds, break it and eat the nuts, raw. In my younger years when I was still in Bicol, Pili is the favorite of big bird Kalaw or HornBill that sometimes my Mom let me stay under the Pili Tree to watch for the Kalaw. Jessica, there are ways of cooking Saba. Since they are already ripe, you can make sweetened desserts by simply make a syrup, like caramelize 3-4 tbsps. sugar, add 1&1/2 cups of water. Let it boil briefly in low heat and then put the sliced Saba. Just slice the Saba in half an inch thick. For this particular sweetened banana, maybe use 4-5 pieces only---just the first try. Another way, is by boiling a few PCs but with skin on. Cook for 15 mins on medium heat. It's called 'Nilagang Saba".

Davao being the fruit capital of the Philippines, the produce there is definitely the best. The tip about smelling the "twig" part of the mango is true and the best way to check for its sweetness. From my experience, the more fragrant it is, the sweeter, also the skin of of the fruit shouldn't be very smooth/ tight, it's a good way to tell if it has ripened properly. Mangoes that have been picked early and didn't ripened well (very tight skin/peel) has a tendency to smell sweet but would have a degree of sourness to its flavor meanwhile the best ones just have purely sweet taste. For the bananas, the green ones(unripe) are great for making banana chips while the yellow ones(ripe) are best for desserts like halo halo, turon, banana q, fried bananas, banana cake, and many more. or you can just eat it raw.

Hi, Jessica. You can try making saging con yelo with the saba you have. Just slice the bananas in small round shapes and boil it with brown sugar with a little bit of water as its syrup. Once cooked, you can put some banana with the syrup on a small bowl or a cup then add crushed ice and evaporated milk on top. Voila! Enjoy your saging con yelo. Perfect for summer! 12:20 Sylvia and I have the same reaction when I first tasted our mangoes and I really thought that our mangoes have literal honey inside of it. I got really full after eating a 1 piece because of it's sweetness.

I remember when I planted okra in my si-abojis farm they were so amazed because it looks like kutso or chili that's looking up in the sky! 😁 I am so happy that we can plant some filipino veggies here in Korea like sitaw, kangkong, ampalaya, okra and even singkamas! 😍 happy to see Jessica so excited in everything she sees in the food expo! 😊

Congratulations Jessica. When the organizer recognized you, it feels like meeting a kababayan in a foreign country. And I think any filipino will be overwhelmed to meet someone like you, a foreigner with lots of love for the Philippines and its culture and very proud to promote it to his/her own country. P.S. Pili Nuts is the best. 💕

Jessica, you're turning out to be my fave youtuber! Great content and very relatable to Filipinos and very authentic I would say. I appreciate how deep Filipino culture from food to society is embeded in you, very impressive! And yes, you deserve those goodies! It's hard to get those mangoes this time of the year here in PH. Very expensive as well! You just struck gold right there!

My, my, my, my, my Jessica! You are so darn loved by the Filipinos. The lady saw your excitement and passion for their products so she was very happy to have you there. She even recognized you👏😊Giving you their products is one gesture of Filipino hospitality. but of course you promoted their products as well. You really deserved it. 👏🥰 Yay! The setback for me is, I’ve become a little couch potato 🥔 watching your videos one by one🤷🏻‍♀️eating pancit canton.
