Jessica, Jinho and Kristy… am so glad to hear your experiences of Christmas in the Philippines. Also, the way you spend the day/s with family, relatives and friends. And, your thoughts about how the Philippines celebrate Christmas compared to Korea so different in some ways. The Philippines is mostly Christian Catholics with mix cultures that makes it different in the whole world in the way they celebrate Christmas!! I still remember when I’m still a kid as well, kasi we have a store before sa Philippines sa sobrang busy we don’t have time to prepare food’s although nakakabili naman si Mama ng Cake and mga prutas so basically yon yong handa namin but ang nakakataba ng puso kasi halos lahat ng kapit bahay namin binibigyan nila kami ng Handa nila kaya yong lamesa namin punong-puno ng iba’t ibang pagkain. Kapag naaalala ko nakakaiyak lang kasi iba talaga ang Christmas sa Pinas dito sa abroad nakakalungkot kasi halos lahat busy, uuwing matutulog na lang dahil pagod. But anyways! I really enjoyed the Video! ❤❤❤

In Europe, Christmas Eve is also an occasion for families to reunite and share a moment around a lot of delicious food. We usually only invite very close friends. New year's eve can also be spent with family, but it's usually when you gather with a lot more friends. French Christians used to have a tradition called "la place du pauvre" (the poor man's sit) or "la part du pauvre" (the poor man's share). It sounds really nice, but it wasn't about really sharing anything with poor people, it was just about thinking about them and wasting some of the food by serving an extra plate where no one was sitting.

Way back in taegu about out 2001 when we were performing in taegu park hotel eith my all filipino band we were so excited to plsy our Christmas songs in the stsrt of December imagine ee were used to be playing here in the Philippines from September we spent so much time practicing these songs for months and we were not allowed to play and sing it not until 2-3 days before Christmas

That's not menudo if it doesn't have raisins and pork liver. But its now more acceptable to remove the raisins bec not many like it but if im gonna cook it, im gonna cook it with raisins bec there will be a sweet raisin taste on the sauce, and pork liver adds some taste too. Btw, the way you cooked, that's afritada tho. 😁 You just changed chicken into pork, but im gonna agree that still looks delicious hahaha. And i also want my menudo to have a lot of veggies 😍Anyway, a lot of Filipinos still having a hard time to differentiate menudo, afritada, and caldereta tho 😁
