WARNING TRIGGERING STORY DONT READ IF UR SENSITIVE: So, I remember...a man tried to convince me to go to the shop with him. I was 9 years old. He offered to buy me sweets. I said no multiple times and that I wasn't allowed to talk to strangers. He said he knew my mum and he kept insisting I let him pick me up and over the gate to go with him. I told him I need permission to go anywhere, but he wouldn't stop trying to bribe me and he kept asking me questions like what's my favourite colour etc, I was skeptical and ran away to a different part of the school playground. I knew I shouldn't speak to strangers, but I was also taught not to ignore adults when they speak to me, so I was conflicted. My house was only down the road (2 minute walk from my school) so my mum let me walk home alone sometimes. When school ended this day, the man followed me. And i was so scared that I ran. My little legs couldn't carry me far. His walking was fast compared to my running, he cornered me for a moment and used his body language to threaten me. I flinched and he said "Exactly." In a very cold tone, unlike his happy tone from earlier. (God I can't help but tear up while writing this) but anyway, it didn't take me long before I realised this man wasn't alone. He had someone else there to do the job with him, he had a weapon (It was like a thick wooden item of some kind). But just in the moment he was about to do something, another man popped up and saved me. He shouted "HEY HEY! DO YOU KNOW HIM? GET BACK! GET BACK FROM HER. OI LITTLE GIRL DO YOU KNOW THESE PEOPLE?" I was in shock, I couldn't even shake my head. The man that followed me said "Yes, ever since a baby! I know her granddad from down the road" then He tried to hurry me into his car. But this hero saved me and pulled me away from them, he could tell from my reaction something was wrong. Even though there were two men and one with a weapon against him, HE RISKED HIMSELF TO SAVE ME AND I'M JUST FOREVER GRATEFUL. i'm so grateful. Thank you. I never saw him again since then, but he made a difference to my life. If he didn't show up when he did, I might not be here today. I had a lot of trust issues with friendly men after that, i usually only trusted shy guys up until the age of 16. However, that's changed for me since then. I'm well past 16 now. Anyway, I know that nobody asked for this story, but I wanted to share it.
