Done this in a Elder Scrolls investigation campaign in Alinor right after the Oblivion Crisis First session : The mage starts doing his James Bond eco+ and tries to seduce other characters, my Khajiit monk tries to go fast enough to skip the introduction cut scene and go straight to the plot (but is stopped by a bad roll and knocked unconscious by guards) and the warrior tries to cockblock the mage by telling ludicrous stories about him to his crush (the best was when he told her that he was a dangerous vampire that had to be put down and that he became a vampire after sucking vampire cum) Fast forward a few sessions later, my monk goes Mastered Ultra Instinct in the ruins of a resplendissant garden helped by the spells of the mage and the encouraging war cries of the barbarian to destroy a giant elven war machine before it is too late, we win this fight by the skin of our teeth but the crippled barbarian is nowhere to be seen amongst the rubble caused by the explosion of the Thunder bird. And we learn in the post credit scene that his destroyed body survived and he was taken under Molag Bal's sphere of influence since he raped the Queen (Had to put that thing last. It really was the moment the rpg got dark and serious)

To be fair, micky is faced with a difficult decision. Most people wouldn't know what to actually do in those given these circumstances. You can choose to be moral, but at what cost? You're now considered a traitor to the place you swore to protect everyone who looks at you now and will view you with disdain with no regard to your well-being everything you've done would have been meaningless. I was a Marine. I served in war. I'll say this is tense. Also, it reminded me of how, OUT THERE, even my own death didn't seem like something real--deep as life or death seem now. The reality was like this cartoon. i.E. It wasn't real. If I died, I died. I didn't want to die--I'd fight to survive--but if I died, I died. Nothing big beyond that. I honestly miss that liberating feeling. Not caring if I lived or not. Now I must live, with all the burdens I've accumulated since.

It isn't hard to compartmentalize it, like an old relationship or something. And the truth is, if you break down the numbers, the likelihood of someone such as myself--a vet--doing something drastic or otherwise violent is far below those from other walks of life who've been reared without the discipline necessary to handle adverse situations.

@@BOBMAN1980 USA veteran suicide rate is higher than the one of the no-veterans. Also because they have easily access to weapons at home. Everyone in their life have moment of down, but veterans have more trauma of anyone else. This, plus a near and accessible personal weapon, makes these numbers high for them. For your safety, remove weapons and alcohol from your home. Not all the veterans show this increased risk, true, but in the big numbers there is an increase. Take care.

A good soldier will always follow orders, true. But thats the definition of a Good Soldier from the viewpoint of the commander, even if he/she is a commander that inflicts death upon innocent lives. That Commander will always refer to a soldier who listens as a "Good Soldier". But through societies eyes, he is not a good soldier, hes a terrible killer. So what kind of Good Soldier are you going to be? The "Good soldier" who obeys regardless of how fucked up the command is? Or someone who will read a situation and say no when shit gets pushed too far. Like the US President ordering troops to kill civilians, define what a "Good soldier" is in that scenario.
@jrgenm.dsollie48493 жыл бұрын
@@sacr3 What we are trying to do is make the horrors of war into a combination of individual actions, rather than trying to understand it holistic. When soldiers are following terrible orders, they are commiting horrors'. But also someone has told them to do it, so they are also guilty. Then what makes people do these things, and why have we allowed such people to have power? Why do soldiers and commanders give themselves the right to commit such actions, and why do we defend them? In the Nuremberg trials, when people said they were following orders, they were told that they still were responsible for their actions. After the Vietnam war, this was not followed and many smaller crimes were never reported. Why was this allowed to happen, and why were there so few legal consequences?

We all know that despite being marked as a kids character Mickey ain’t the weak one in the friend group. If it came down to it, Mickey, Donald, and Donald’s girlfriend (I don’t remember her name) would shoot anyone else in the group without hesitation in a situation like this. Goofy would hesitate a bit, not because he’s weak, but because it contradicts his moral compass. In the end though I’m certain he’d pull the trigger. Pluto and Minnie are the weak ones, they couldn’t shoot someone.

Edgar macias that certainly completes the tragedy seen in this video. Goofy was trying to be rational, and see his family again. Mickey only knew war, and had nothing left at home. When presented with an option to end the war and go home, Mickey just couldn’t go with it. They would both live, but Mickey would be dead inside. Mickey made up excuses up until the death of his friend, and he will slowly learn the depth of his mistake. The mistake that other soldiers in the war had the same dilemma, but chose their friends over the mission.
