Lots of people see this as gross or terrifying, but not me. As a writer, I see this as a beautiful artistic depiction of unconditional love, a father who went and above and beyond for his son, while his mother presumably left, the father only grew to love his son even more, he studied anthropology, he quit his job, he became one of the most skilled minecraft players of all time, all to protect his son, his son who even when he became a literal monster, he still told him he was beautiful, and sounded like he meant it, and he did… he saw the beauty in him, because for all he had changed, he was still his son, and he still loved him, and that is ALL that mattered…

I think this is a great artistic representation of what can happen when you're in over your head when it comes to loving someone who is sick (mental, physical or otherwise) and you aren't receiving the help and support necessary to make sure you are okay as well.

The amount of likes paints a disturbing picture. Too much isolation + parenting without letting a child exprience the outside world for him/herself (or Shoving to experience), leads to problems. @@PomadaGaming a father sees his own son decaying both physically and mentally, and despite doctors' best efforts they can't seem to cure him. He decides to take matters into his own hands, becoming an "amateur" in entomology just to get a better idea of what could be wrong. Even though his son doesn't look human anymore he still loves him and tries his best to at least bring back a semblance of his spark, picking up a videogame his son loves and streaming it so the kid could still have a connection with others. Yet that too eventually fails, leading him to no longer see his child's face which he very much misses (even though the skin has decayed by this point). He puts in so much effort for the sake of his son. Finally, after probably months or even years of pain and despair with no solution in sight does the son finally reappear again. And the father, instead of freaking out at the physical monstrosity his son has now become, is just glad he can see his boy again. And because he's the good father that only wants what's best for his kid, he opens the window and gives his blessings for the kid to fly out and be free. How is that not wholesome? It's wholesome as fuck. It's obviously extremely different from a typical sob story but it still has elements of a tragedy with a wholesome ending; a father's son goes through a tragedy, nobody can help the child so the father tries his best to figure out what's wrong, the child doesn't look or behave the same because of the tragedy but his father's love never diminishes, and when there's finally a resolution the father still does what's best for the child even though it implies he may never see him again. It's a testament to how far a father's love can stretch and the lengths he will go for the sake of his son. At the end of the day it's a video about a dad who is going through a shitty situation who only wants what's best for his kid.
