I feel so sorry for louis, he doesn't deserve this. And even what he said at the end about what's important, doesn't make it right, he probably has video footage and photos on that laptop that he won't be able to ever get back if he doesn't get back his laptop. It's rediculous, I'm sorry but even if the person that stole it needed money or so and so, you don't go around that by steeling some innocent guy's laptop. I think he has footage of his friend who passed away (Marcus/Marquis, I think) and the USA road trip they all did together. So I can definitely understand why he wants his things back so badly. I really hope they are returned to him or he finds everything.

I think you're completely right about putting things into perspective. Material things are nothing compared to friends and family. I guess the main thing for you is the footage you hadn't edited yet, which would be devastating if you lost it forever, but then again it could be a lot worse. Man, Louis... I feel your pain. I lose things all the time and sometimes don't even get them back. It's a stressful process. Maybe I haven't got into something this bad, but last week I was using a editing software that is great for advanced editing and everything (I felt like my whole future/life depended on it because I am so passionate about editing and making videos) and I have finally been getting used to it after switching over so many times because so many programs I've used broke because my laptops die, but it crashed and now I am forced to work and edit with iMovie. It was a major downgrade and because summer was coming I was looking forward to making so many new pieces. But I came to the realization that no matter what program I use, it cannot limit creativity or the moments that I capture. Just like you, I realized that there were more important things that I never noticed until I lost what I always depended on. Thanks for being so optimistic and going on with these vlogs still. When I feel bad I remember your motto and your vlogs and it makes me remember that I'm not alone in all of these situations too. Hope you find your bag soon. If not, it's all good and you know it. =)

Being so carefree does have it's drawbacks, like right here. Not to be disrespectful but there is no way I would forget my bag that contained so many important things to me. It's great to be living the adventure and enjoying life etc. but sometimes you really have to be alert and aware and grown up. You can't trust other's with personal stuff. Louis, I know Macs used to have a program called "back to my mac" which would allow a user with the right credentials to login to their computer and use it remotely. If yours is setup for that, you may be able to login and snap a photo of the guy using photobooth and your computers facetime camera. Just a thought...Good Luck!

I was in London a couple years ago and my purse was stolen from the Hard Rock Cafe. I went down to watch the security footage but we were never able to find the man. A local couple saw what happened but felt so bad they weren't able to do something that they gave me 100£. It didn't cover everything that was in my purse but their kindness and generosity is something that I'll never forget.
