I genuinely think we gotta form a community, reading these comments while in pain makes me feel much better to see the commonality but it really sucks cos you don’t know wtf is wrong or what possible other problems you could have, my second RCT was done a week back next to another RCT (upper molar that too), it’s been a week and the pain hasn’t gone everyone I try to chew even the softest food it hurts, dentists doubt if I have sinus but like HOW? Bro my tooth didn’t even hurt this much before the RCT and I’ve never had sinus

I hope I don’t have to get a root canal. I just had my fillings done and my tooth still hurts and now it’s affecting another tooth. I’m getting a cleaning next week. I’ll have them look at it. I think some of the filling went in between my teeth and feels like something got stuck and affecting my gums. It hurts but hopefully it can be fixed without any major expenses. Eating hot and cold foods does affect it too :(

@@no_u_420 If you're having sensitivity to hot/cold food then that is a huge sign you may need a root canal as usually it means that the nerve in your tooth is exposed. Before my root canal my dentist told me the reason behind my root canal and pain was because the nerve was exposed and that cold, hot, and foods/drinks high in sugar will hurt my teeth as they make contact with the nerve.

I had a mild toothache the next day. I take advil and just within 30 mins its gone I thought that's the final pain. Next day comes my toothache is unbearable. It lasted 3 days. And I'm experiencing it atleast 2-3 Hours a day. I'll never do root canal again.

Omg, I live there too and I've heard nasty stories about some dental visit. My cousin for example said her dentist's assistant was telling her to endure even though the pain during the root canal treatment was excruciating for her. She discontinued and never went back there.

@Neriasangma that root canal failed. Then i went for another rct from specialist surgeon and now im fine Alhamdolillah. Though it was painful process. I had 1 rct and 2 teeth filling. Almost one month of treatment and several visits and medication.

Tomorrow was my appointment and dr did bmp with rotary equipment and I told her to put put injection first so during it did not hurt but after 1 hrs my teeth hurt so much. Is it possible that a fracture is undetected even with a CBCT scan? Tried root canal procedure twice with no luck. My CBCT scan showed no fracture in tooth but my pain is not going away. I went to the best doctor in town and even she is unable to manage my pain. My canals are cleaned so the only possibility is a crack which I ruled out by a CBCT but I need to know that are there any fractures that doesn't show in the CBCT scan?

@@sharmilarajaramshinde Trial and error. They do the RCT but if unsuccessful they extract it. They always try to save the tooth but sometimes its not possible. Like some cracks show in CBCT but some cracks open only once you bite from that tooth so if you take any x ray it won't show. I spent lots of money to save that tooth but had to extract eventually.

@@KP-nf9wd not sure if the question is directed towards me but three dentists tried to save that tooth but had to extract it. The recovery took a while because I har infection but after few days the pain started to get better. I am fine now. For the flesh to cover the area fully it takes some time. Also the bone needs time to be strong back like before but you ll be pain free in few days. You ll be given antibiotics and painkillers. For any more questions feel free to ask.
