another great episode! China Taste is a rockville staple. They had a really good Dai Lo Mein and Noodle Soup in really comically big bowls. But they are famous with the dish you featured with the stir fry pressed tofu with pork. They had good stir fried rice cakes as well. I havent been back since COVID but glad the place is still there. As you mentioned, its one of the very few affordable asian places left in MoCo (at least before COVID) Have the prices went up by alot since COVID?

I frankly don't usually pay too much attention to prices. But, certainly, the prices have gone up since the pandemic. But, I can say this. There are less expensive places. Those places would be strictly takeout spots and definitely leaning toward Chinese American food. I think the portions at China Taste matches the prices.

I would thick a noodle of that size should be married to a thick meat sauce. That way it can cling to the noodles and make a delightful mouthful.

You make a great point. It didn't think of it. But, yeah, a thick meat sauce of some kind would go terrifically with those thick noodles. Kind of like how some Italian pastas are paired with a robust sauce.
