I want to thank you, Richard Gene! Catching Crappie was on my list of things to learn how to do. I found you a year ago and watched all of your videos. My hubby and I finally began catching Crappie last spring. We missed the spawn but got em after and continued to catch em. We went on a 3 day fish in the Savannah River and nailed it! You taught me water temps and depths and where to find em. We filled our boat with slabs every day and stocked our freezer for the year and a friend's freezer. It was great fun! Thank you again!

Not sure I ever saw a longnose that big even swimming in the water much less on a hook. That thing was impressive! You might have to make another "gar roping" video. What you catch with spoons and Rooster Tails: you never know until you throw. We used to hit the white bass run on the French Broad River above the fork at the head of the Tennessee River itself. Richard is right. We would catch fish until we couldn't stand to see one. One after another. A lot of those "green shad" (skipjack), too. Small spoons and Rooster Tails would slay them. Fun times _and good eating._

Thanks for this fun video, Richard! Man, when I heard you were gonna be spoonpluggin', I was ready to watch a seminar on Buck Perry's methods with his famous Spoonplug. Oh, well....lot's of lures can have similar names. 😄 Looks like that snagged gar was hooked in one of the pelvic fins, not pectoral. We have mostly shortnose gar here in S. Dak. Wish I could get a longnose gar. Take care.

Been noticing vibration from your new TM coming through the hull and into the camera. It may help or even eliminate it if you could find a rubber mat about 1/4" thick and mount it between your TM and the bow. What you can hear through the camera is probably just as if not louder in the water.

Hi Richard, I have a question (anyone else is welcome to answer as well). With a spoon bait I figured you can’t fish it by lifting it up and down on the floor in deep murky water because it needs light to reflex off of it. How does it work so well when it’s so dark on the floor? Thanks!
