That should last you a good long while. I built my PC around 8 years ago, with a Ryzen 5 2600 and GTX1080, and it still plays new AAA games in 1080p at 60fps just fine.

Emily, this makes me so happy seeing this. As someone who has been building my own PCs since the mid 90s, I always enjoy seeing someone take that step to not rely on an out of the box solution and just go for it to make the computer YOU want. I have the corded sibling of that Logitech mouse, and it completely changed my gaming. One thing that jumped out at me - the second monitor in portrait - how are you liking that and what do you use it for primarily? I've had 2 or 3 monitors in my setup over the years, but always stayed landscape, because I didn't exactly know why I'd have a monitor in portrait. Thank you so much for sharing this. Also, I love that desk. And you look so refreshed. I hope you had a great Christmas and 2025 is starting off wonderfully for you.

Very nice setup. With how well you optimize all the space you have for your shelves and as we can see your desk it's easy to forget you're living in a studio. Everything seems so much bigger
@MandyleePlays12 күн бұрын
You have better cable management than me, and I am pretty organized myself 😂 Your desk is like a little command center. It's amazing. Now, if only I can build a PC on my own, in the meantime, I will stick with pre-builts, lol. Gald to see you are back, Emily! Happy New Year!

by the way … maybe the fans on the side of the Radiator from the AIO … maybe they are mounted in the wrong Direction ….😮 same in the top of the case … or is that a kind of Reverse Blade Fans ? when not they are installed the wrong Direction … the have to be installed the oposite way… to push hot air out and through the Radiator Fins…

Gratz on the build I just build my fifth with one of them being a retro build. A 4080 Super is a beast. I have a 4080 9800X3D and hoping for a 5080 when I can. The 4080 is really all most would need but I have an unhealthy hobby of playing an extremely intensive, modded version of Cyberpunk 2077 so I need the fake frames. That setup would rock for FF7 Rebirth replay in a weeks time!

A breathable mesh chair is a rare sight, in most setups I've seen the racecar seat is the chair of choice. I assume a strong AC would be needed to prevent gamer hydroplaning during long gaming sessions (gross lol), so considering the vast amount of nice things on those shelves, I too would be overcautious and not want any temperature fluctuations potentially messing my stuff up. This setup is looking pretty much perfect, maybe a mini leopard print pillow attached to the head rest for neck support, but yeah, definitely a Fortress of Solitude!

Cool looking PC (and particularly the wooden desk, looks like it feels very nice to work at, wood like that always seems to feel very homey at some fundamental level). I have to say I feel I have wasted my life due to not knowing that you can have little LED screens in a keyboard - I should rectify that as soon as possible😆. That Metaphor box looks massive - hope it's not a toe-stubbing risk!
