We now live in an age where it is expected that a desk chair lasts 4 years.

Yeah my racing chairs usually costed me $200 and lasted me six months at most due to how often I used them, so I ended up biting the bullet and getting the cheapest Herman Miller chair I could get (a Sayll). $800 later (on sale), but I've had it for about 4 years already and it's still going strong without flattening.

I wish I had as much computers as you did. To me, they just seem so awesome to own, especially the older ones from the 90s, and plus, these things have many uses compared to all the other electronics I have…man, now that I’m thinking about it, maybe it wasn’t such a bad idea to leave the classroom during nap time (that was the first and only time I saw an iMac G3 in person).

Cool room tour! It's nice to hear that most of the computers have a purpose that they serve. The radio setup is also interesting. I managed to find a manual for that camcorder on the Internet Archive and I think I know what part of the problem you're running into is. The refresh rate I found in the manual was "60 fields". That means that the camera does refresh at 60hz, but the video is interlaced. Skipping an explanation of interlacing, a field is effectively a half-frame. I'm guessing that the processes you tried before were either deinterlacing the video or just interpreting it as progressive scan instead, resulting in the 60 fields/second source becoming 30 frames/second. I've never had to copy over video from a MiniDV camera, so I don't know what a solution to getting 60hz video out of it would be. I don't know how much of this you already knew, but hopefully it points in the right direction.

I just don't see a reason to get rid of them when they all still work great, and I'll never have compatibility issues with old games. I like your Astolfo figure.

One simply cannot have enough PCs in their life. I have probably close to 15 PCs. They all have their specific purpose. Besides my main setup, 5 of them are for retro gaming and multimedia, Batocera retro console emulation, Win98, WinXP, Win7 and Ubuntu. One is purely for downloads. One holds my NAS and massive offline storage. One is my test bench for DDR3, the other my DDR4. The others are for my wife and kid.
