im trying to learn how to script with my friend, and your videos have been helping a lot, the only problem we are facing is that its incredibly hard to memorize all the different words and phrases to make code actually do the things we want

I haven't fully learned scripting yet but the way how I'm learning is to say to myself is "you know you love playing games?" and I say yeah? and then I said "you love playing scripting" and my brain flipped making it my new game to play is scripting and now it's a hobby and that's the way how I can become very inspired.

It’s not bad cause for probably everything you need to look up stuff like drawing you have to learn by doing step by steps!

It’s not only a good thing but in my opinion the most important in scripting. Especially AI models, even if it feels like cheating, it’s helpful if you don’t just search for the whole script.

I'm not some pro at this but I did get decent at coding things I wanted to for a game and the way I did it was not rushing through everything and instead just took a good amount of information that could help me with what I want to make then try to get very familiar with it then proceed to learn more and more until I get good at it then if I get good enough I could hopefully make a good game

Literally my method of learning to script Step 1. Look up a tutorial on how to do general scripting, and not how to script one specific thing Step 2. Try to memorize it Step 3. Forget it all Step 4. Give up Step 5. Repeat everyday

Can someone help me I don't know why my code isn't working whenever run my code my while loop is not changing when I press the start line, but it changes when I start on the FinishLine. I don't know why the loop isn't activating when the raceActivated becomes true in the start function. Because the while loop started before the calling the touch event and it saw the raceActivate variable was false so it stopped it. and when you touch the start line it finally set the raceActivate variable to true but the while loop is already stopped it's gone so it won't start. the solution is to put the while loop inside the start function instead
