I’ve learned to script pretty recently, but these are gonna be extremely helpful. I use a paid extension called auto typer for semi auto fill, so auto fill won’t be that helpful, but terrain generation will be perfect for an open world RPG.

I will probably never use this. Reasons: I prefer to script myself because it is fun for me. If the ai makes a script and there is a bug it can't solve, you have no idea how to solve it. You can't do very complex things with it, but I need complex systems for my game.

Yeah, you need to learn scripting first to use it best, but in my opinion it can really help you do things faster And if you know what you're doing it can give you ideas or a baseline to work from

I've actually made really advanced systems with it. I've been a scripter for 3 years now and I agree with you that I prefer scripting myself. Though AI can still give you a guide on where to start or the steps you need to complete to do a specific thing.

Not really, you have to be a pro dev to understand this, if you have low knowledge of scripting then you can't solve most of errors when the ai makes a mistake.

@@Ranc1d_ yeah im working on a platformer all i have is 3 weeks of study from alvinblox and chatGPT. I have set up a custom npc dialog system, power ups, a random spawner for powerups, ai pathing, and datastore services to save progress. ChatGPT wont code an entire game for you but it will create the puzzle pieces for your game, you just need to connect them together.

I'd recommend learning as much as you can about scripting, but if you have a general knowledge of how to write and read lua code it'll help at the bare minimum.
