This is SO RIGHT. I started with 2k, did stupid trades and finally stopped at $400,and took a break for a day. I came back in over a few weeks more devoted, less risky and traded back up to 1k, then 7k. But I got greedy after growing big profits in one particular day, I traded again hoping for more but instead fell to 5k. Did I stop there? No no no, I DOUBLED my money per trade and ended up at $0 within 2 days of that - completely liquidated. Don't get greedy and don't fucking trade/chase after a loss

If you just went through something like this, still want to trade and you think this video was rubbish - one thing he should have clearly stated which he didn't: you need some "tough love," not pity. If you were hiding this from people close to you, there is likely no one else in the world other than this moment that's going to offer what was just provided to you. Take a step back, get your head straight and learn from this - this was a significant life moment so you need to frame it, compartmentalize it (good life story but something to put behind you), and move forward. Regret will come if you do nothing about this and let this moment consume you, not from the actual loss of $$.

I lost 50k over 3 weeks in Oct. I was devastated. I recovered and kept going and then lost 20k and got back 12k. Then I lost 10k in one day! WTF! Why? Impulsive trading... Emotional trading... Revenge trading... News trading... Trading too big lots... Absolute zero risk tolerance... Trading for money instead for the learning of how to trade!!! Yes I am new, but It is all the price of admission. I will learn from this. I stopped trading and reevaluated my approach and will be taking a rational, educated, planned approach with small lots. I started Futures trading January 1st of 2022. I started with 1.13 million and grew it to 2.6 million mostly trading nasdaq futures, by March 10th. I lost all of my profits (1.5 million) and more. I let just a few losers run, without stops and willingly watching them and hoping like a fool. I realized I have to use stops and pick my trades for risk reward. I feel a little bit better reading comments about people losing thousands and even tens of thousands within a day or minutes. I'm down about 10-12k in total. I think that my last goal is just to stick to simple long term investing and make back what I've lost that way. With patience. Good luck to everyone still in the game or interested trying trading. A $48,000 loss means absolutely nothing without the context of account size and normal portfolio volatility, based on individual goals and risk appetite. In a $2,000,000 account, that's only 2.4% which is a completely acceptable daily fluctuation. In a $50,000 account, you are obviously a horrible trader and need to quit.

Agreed, but professional traders would consider 1% risk per trade to be their limit. It's ironic, but they're usually in a position where they're managing other people's money with bosses having full oversight, so they're constantly forced to trade 'smart' (ie without emotion).

Brokers are also one of the major reason one lose money . Even top brokers like IC markets cheat in a way which you can't even think. My TP on BTCUSD was @28337.23 . It was a sell trade of lot size 2.20 and went as low as @28117.21. They never closed my trade and let it open. After contacting them the support didn't come out clean and rather used irrelevant excuses to cover their BS that ask price is less than this, that pure non sense. I lost over $4k within few seconds due to all this which could be a profit of at least $2500. Manipulating candles, hunting stop losses, not hitting our tp levels is what most brokers are doing . Due to all these technical difficulties / cheating from their side my equity is in huge drawdown which could be a very decent profit . I am an experienced trader and trust me these brokers and institutions are way clever than you . You might lose years of your savings in a glance of seconds .
