Dave Ramsey literally always gives terrible advice. (Debt snowball instead of paying off highest interest debts first for example.) It only seems like some of it is good. If you are really scared, cash out 25% just in case, keep the rest on the table, and let it ride. But, you WILL be kicking yourself for even taking out that 25% some day. You'll be like "ouch, if only I kept the ENTIRE amount in cryptos." Another way you are burned by cashing out as much as you can immediately: TAXES. If you want to avoid TAXES, you'll cash a little each year, not all at once. Uncle Sam sucks.

Actually, it's the opposite: the real risk long term would be not hodling BTC, and holding on to dollars instead. Let's say the caller put that $1500 in a safe 6 years ago... It would have less worth today then it did back then because prices of nearly everything has increased due to inflation. But he put his money into BTC which cannot be printed or counterfeited by the Federal reserve, so his investment went up nearly 100x. Stock to flow ratio... Finite BTC will continue to rise compared to seemingly infinite dollar, billions of which are printed daily, although there will be ups and downs along the way in the BTC price. The reality is, BTC is becoming more and more scarce and expensive. The caller should not cash out his BTC especially since it is now entering a bull run and perhaps cash some of it out when it gets to at least 50K or even 100K so that he can buy more BTC later on if the price falls again . But even if he doesn't touch his BTC, he will be ahead...possibly one day if a satoshi (10e-8 BTC) or the other more scalable alts are actually used as currencies as the dollar becomes worthless as it has steadily done so since the government continues to "stimulate" economic downfall and the Fed continues to counterfeit more every day.

BTC is pure speculation... Even if you think BTC can hit 100k in the near future, I can tell you that there are several stocks that will outperform that growth in the same time period. Unlike BTC, you can actually do a risk/reward analysis on those stocks and add them to your portfolio accordingly. People that put a significant percentage of their net worth on BTC are simply gambling and what's worse is that you lose even if you make money. If BTC goes down, then you lose the money you gambled and if BTC goes up, you start validating your unintelligent investing behaviors which will bite you in the future.
