Hello Nicholas I'm an Interior Designer , and the new chest you have gotten is (Burled Walnut). Extraordinarily beautiful. The legs on your chair that you're going to put into your bedroom are called (Pub legs). So if your new Sofa has exposed legs as you say. The pub legs will look lovily. Also, I just wanted to say that since Nathan has come into your life, you have seemed so much happier. Having a good friend is wonderful to share things with. I so enjoy your video's your content is very enjoyable. Thank you for taking the time to share bits and pieces of your wonderful life. Blessing to you for the coming year. Fondly Christina

Could you decorate the sconces on the wall in some way. Or paint them.
@christinalroth19215 күн бұрын
As far as Nicholas sconces are concerned. As a less expensive way of sprucing them up, Nicholas could use rub and buff gold, allowing some of the black to show through. Or spray paint them a gold shade. This way, if it wasn't to his liking. Very little money would be wasted. Also, he could use some of the Linen Fabric he's using to reupholster his chair, pleating it and glue gunning on the interior of the light that wouldn't be seen. Finishing the scones with some decorative coordinating trimming. These two ways are inexpensive to try, and if it wasn't to your liking, only a little time would be lost. There are several other ways he could also refurbish the sconces, but they're more detailed to explain. Hope this gave you some ideas. Fondly Christina

Perhaps for the sconces … disassemble and then cover with art. This way, you can reassemble the sconces should you ever move.

Hello, Nicolas! It's so exciting redoing your rooms. That walnut piece is just a delight. But do you think it would work better if pulled more to the left on the wall, rather than snug to the corner? One more critique if I may. The lamp is truly interesting and beautiful, but may be a tad overpowering the chest? This is to my eye, only. Love the style of color of your new rug! It's modern and fresh. I love mixing in a few contemporary pieces! Looking forward to seeing your chair when redone! I hope you don't mind my critiques. Thanks for a lovely and relaxing break in my day!❤❤

Looking wonderful...one suggestion would be to pull your rug out a bit away from the fireplace so that when your new sofa arrives, you put the front legs onto the carpet. It will come together and feel more cohesive. I like that you are adding color with your art pieces.

Happy new year! I suggest that you take everything off that new beautiful walnut bureau save the lamp and painting. I love your choices and colours. My OCD mind wants to move the 2 little green paintings so they are not hanging off the edges of the mantle and your new chest. Also pull the chest out of the corner so it is almost touching the power point cover or place a tall plant there. That gap seems out of place. Happy New Year.

Nicolas I jipust want to thank you so much for having such a lovely channel. Here in California the fires have burned out some of the most expensive real estate and the most beautiful homes in paradise you can imagine. I am housing friends who have lost everything. They had a cliff side mountain home in Malibu overlooking the Pacific Ocean. We have been talking about all they have lost. They have made dozen’s of movies and been around the world so their main style, was then slowly added to over the years. I so enjoy a beautiful home that is decorated slowly over time. You change things, reupholster, acquire art, and slowly each space is exquisite and completely YOURS. Not a decorators that did it in a week. This way you can change another room simply by moving things from other rooms. It’s so fun to watch you. This is just the calming moment I needed amongst my chaotic life.

But your taste is impeccable so I know I shall love it. The new rug is just perfect. Just don't serve red wine. And you might invest in doggie diapers. I'm sorry you had such trouble traveling. It makes getting home even more special. On my way to Singapore one time we had to divert to Australia. I loved it so much I cancelled my hotel in Singapore and stayed in Australia. My boyfriend is staying with his mother who has been without power for the last few days, and we have family and friends who lost their homes. I am sorry to be a downer but it has been horrible. Happy New Year Nicolas! Oh! I love your new rug, I agree with you for leaving the chair with the wood stain, it will tie with your writing desk and new bureau. May I suggest your tree painting and new painting on the mantel could be installed the same height as the big painting on the other side, bigger piece at the bottom smaller at the top, flush left with the bureau. I could see it this way but off course you might have something else in mind. Have yourself a good week see you next time. Question: How hot was your iron when you removed the water stain on your desk?

Missed seeing you during the holidays. I love your new area rug! Looks great in that room. Looking forward to seeing what the new couch and the chair will look like. You have excellent taste and know both will look great in that room. The mirror above the mantel is gorgeous! Happy New Year Nicolas!
