The Tecno brand is huge in Africa. In my country, Malawi, it's the go-to brand for the masses, from entry level to mid tier phones. But for the higher tier, people tend to go for the Samsungs, iPhones etc. I'm a Samsung, OnePlus, Pixel, Motorola guy myself, but the way Techno has been killing it the past two years, it's making me a believer 😄

Gotta give them props, that's the nicest included case I've seen. Most just give you that cheap clear rubbery plastic but here you get a custom matching case and an included kick stand that's done really clever. More companies should do that especially once your phone breaks that $500-$600 price range. It probably only cost a few bucks to give a nicer case but it makes a big difference to the buyer.

at this price point you'd better get an older iPhone, photos/videos would be way better. just like screens and sound (but with a stupid notch). or Google Pixel 7 Pro. and if you care about processor you'd get something with snap 8 gen 1-2. these tecno devices are pointless for their prices. orange one looks cool though.

I know intune would kick me off the device even if I tried to log in, so that ship has sailed years ago for me. Then again I also savage a battery in 2 years to a point where it won't get me through half a day, so perhaps I'm not so much in the risk group. 😅

It'd make a lot of sense to do that motorized zoom fearure on both lenses. A company could go all out on two sensors rather than have more with lower quality/smaller sensors. The UW lens would be able to zoom up past 1x, hypothetically, which could bridge the gap to a 1.5x-3.5x "main" sensor!

My first android phone was the Tecno M3. That was way back when Jellybean was on phones. Man, Tecno has come a long way. Here in Nigeria, they're the basic go-to for the average person looking for a smartphone. From the Spark, to the Pop, to the Camon, to the Phantom, they're all booming here. The camerawith multiple focal lengths is really cool to see in a phone, but it isn't the first time such a thing has been done, and nowhere near as nice an implementation of the feature as Sony's Xperia 1iii from nearly 2 years ago, the subsequent Xperia 1iv upgraded further to a smooth optical zoom along the optical focal range rather than 2 fixed positions. Impressive to see other manufacturers- especially smaller ones in the west- adopting the tech, though.

I guess it does have a couple minor cool novelties: the retractable zoom of course, that recycled fiber backing is genuinely neat, and a better than average case. But average specs, not cheap, no headphone jack, no SD card slot 🤷‍♂

I am Using samsung z fold4 as primary and iphone14 pro max as secondary phone.. I love fold. Most of the day i use that phone.. I just saw this phone on this video i never heard or saw anywhere else but if i say true i love this phone design and camera samples are really gud.. I bought fold for 3k canadian dollars With rogers, which is really expensive and if i say thats worthy no camera is not that gud i use iphone14 pro max for clicking pictures..
