I bought one of their books "The Carrot That Was Too Big For His Bed." for my goddaughter's son. He loved the story & couldn't believe he could carrots from a book. He later got a crop of 14 carrots.

Great product and I think its perfect for Sara's brand. Touca talking about making merch of the characters of the books makes me wonder how he ever became successful. For one showing a complete misunderstanding of the concept of sustainability and secondly why wouldn't anyone buy merch for unestablished characters I could see it developing in to range of sustainable crafting products, science products/kits aimed at kids to teach them about the environment and sustainability

You know when a dragon says "I think that I am worth this high of a percentage because I will add so much value too it."? I would translate that into their percentage being more valuable and hence they should get less of it, because if that's not true then they won't in fact add that much value, but they are lying and are just greedy. Which ofc is one of the reasons they are rich. And if they get offended won't budge then I guess they really didn't think they would add that much value. But I am guessing it has more to do with ego than anything else.

You've just started watching, haven't you? Tej has invested in many businesses and had to leave Dragon's Den because he needed time to focus on them. He was the second richest dragon, second highest investor in terms of value just in 4 years (money invested through Dragon's Den - first rank is of Peter, but he has been on the show for two decades) and was one of the mostly consistently liked Dragons on the show.

Deborah's route to market is even worse IMO If I understood her correctly. Selling it at Christmas for a child to plant once a month, would then become a seasonal product, and will take a whole year for a child to finish just one book.
